As a artists I can see why he forgot about this song. I have PLENTY of songs that just have hooks, you get into the mindset that verses are easy so you spend all your time making different hooks/starting new songs. Then when you try to go back, you not on that same vibe anymore. Number one mistake I’ll tell any artists, always finish what you start. Ever heard a song where the second verse don’t really go hard or match the first verse, perfect example.

And also, sometimes dat vibe only be a one time feeling. Whatever he was going through fueled it with gas, can’t drive off water!!

This is exactly how it's done. When I was in LA in the 90s we would challenge each other to do what we called, "One take Jake". We recorded on ADAT and the method of recording was more of a headache if you had to overdub. Damn...I once had to record an artist in my crew for 12 hours...for one verse. He just didn't like any version. I heard the perfect performance like 50 times. Lol. But when you hit the pocket...feels bomb. So when he hit the right one I knew he'd go to the next one.

What he is doing is using a freestyle angel to creating the song and hes letting the beat drive the direction of where the song is going and the cadence of the verses. Theres no pen or paper to hold nlback his creativity its pretty dope.
