This... is the song that Changed the direction of 21st century music. I remember hearing this song for the first time... I didn't even know that the voice effect was called Auto-Tune... I just know I hadn't heard any artists using it in new music. T-Pain introduced this sound to the young Hip Hop generation... and its dope because he can actually sing. The way he projects his words, and the fact that he can actually hold a note... it makes the Auto-Tune work how its supposed to work. My pet peeve is when I hear rappers who aren't even tryna sing, using Auto-Tune on their vocals. Other than that, I have no issue with Auto-Tune when its used effectively... huge thanks to T-Pain for Inspyering a new generation of singers (and rappers) to use it and experiment with their singing voices.
