Ajaero, NLC president says Thiefnubu played them on the minimum wage agreement. It was agreed that N70,000 minimum wage would be paid to the lease paid workers since May 2024 with a promise that petrol pump price won't change, four months after, the pump price has been increased twice to over N1,000 per litre and still growing. Ajaero says T-pain (tinubu) played them and the price of the product has make worthless the N70,000 agreed minimum wage. A country that a bag of rice is more than its minimum wage is more than a joke. The question now is: What will NLC do? Maybe nothing. Can't the workers remove this incompetent, compromised NLC leadership?
Tinubu is now called T-pain by many Nigerians who seems to have surrendered to his tyranny. He just set up another committee to look into how they can start paying the minimum wage as things becomes more and more unbearable for the citizens. Except for complaining and then looking for who to subsidise their hardship, what are Nigerians ready to do? Female resorting into prostitution called hook-uk, men resorting to kidnapping for ritual and none seems ready to shutdown the contraption yet except for the people planning #FearlessInoctober protest. A protest many believes is dead on arrival.
Obaseki has explained what he meant by "Do or Die" election in Edo state tomorrow. He said he has done so well that he has been creating over 50,000 jobs every month, that he has constructed many roads and it would be a great loss to Edo state if another party takes over and ruin it all. He said Oshi-omo-ole is being given armoured personnel carriers and using police helicopter to campaign, showing the police partiality in the election, so he knows that they want to use federal might to rig the election in the state. Werey Wike's cousin that is the INEC resident electoral officer said there is no conflic of interest on his part towards the election.
APC rep member, actress Mercy Johnson's husband is reported to have escaped assassins bullet this afternoon. Similarly, Labour party Guber Candidate, olumide Akpata has debunk the rumour of his withdrawal from the contest. A rumour suspected to be promoted by Obaseki, Asue group to demoralise his followers and possible voters. It is now less than 24hrs to the kick-off of the election in the state.
Sheu Sani speaks on why efforts to control social media by successive government failed and will still fail. "Social media is a market square where everyone expresses their opinions, no government can successfully control it, not in Nigeria", he said.
