Amazing film and I appreciated how the musical references were authentic, including the references to Levine and Dutoit. The only off-note was the conceit that the Berlin Phil would be led by a female conductor and concertmaster. Classical music is still such a misogynistic environment, it’s interesting that they’d use that milieu for this particular story… Marin Alsop and some upcoming talents aside, the notion that Lydia would be allowed to exercise such power as a women conductor in such a old boys network struck an inauthentic note

@@christianstone8999 it's not in the screenplay but it's mentioned in multiple interviews, and the editor Monika Willi actually revealed that scene will be the center part of Todd's new short film "The fundraiser" at the Berlinale!
