Incredible work, buddy! You definitely have an eye for film direction and a sense for action, suspense and storyboarding. You really do have talent. And the animation is brilliant-blockbuster worthy. You deserve to be in the movie industry.

Looks pretty good, the integration in the final comp might need some love however. Perhaps backing off or recoloring the occlusion as well as comping in some environment lighting passes would help. Great start!

awesome work! it almost looks like a practical stop motion effect which I really like.

Not bad, even if this was a long time ago, it looks really really good. The walking and running animation for the T-rex could have been made better, but I know how hard it is to make a walking animation of a exticnt creature look real, I've tried :p.

people don't realize that BIG ANIMALS ARE FASTER THEN THEY ARE! And dont realize that RUNNING TOWARDS THE TREES INSTEAD OF AN OPEN AREA WAS A BETTER IDEA!
@dali36612 жыл бұрын
Sure, but you are missing the whole point of my argument that if trex could balance in an upright position (not 90 degrees) then the saving of energy would be a natural progression rather than having the animal walk horizontally which would require extra energy. In other words nature always finds an optimum way to cope with gravity. PS I like the trex 'thud sounds' when walking in the vid because that sounds realistic to me

As a matter of fact, a reconstruction was made that proved that a bipedal dinosaur's hips would have dislocated if it stood upright. Don't get mad (because some people do that) I'm just telling a fact.

@DrRyanBC I believe Barnum Brown got Trex stance about right altho the tail did not touch the ground -rather it helped to balance the animal by being off the ground. An upright stance with straighter legs wod still allow for the tail to be off the ground

Hey there i got a couple of questions. 1) Let's say you have a dinosaur in a green screen and it doesnt look too real. But, using 3d MAYA adobe etc, to make look real like ur t-rex, you would have to add textures and stuff? right?
@jaydutta77116 жыл бұрын
Awesome video!!! Please make more of these 😊
@salvatierrascrazys11 жыл бұрын
And it's been proven that tyrannosaurs had binocular vision, so the "freeze frame" tactic would only land you in Rexy's gullet...My advice: Run down hill, because if a T-rex were pursuing you there, it would trip itself and the fall could kill it.

How many worked on this - you are so close to movie level - I would say the only thing would be insuring true levels, real black to real white - matching the film with I would assume is auto levels that produce true black/white. Awesome work though, and I wish I could produce that level! Your work is way awesome... If I could do that - wow!!!

I agree with what you say but because Trex had angled tibia and tarsus bones in conjunction with muscles and tendons acting as an obsorber of weighted energy-like a spring tension- then the femur would also naturally be angled (more like 50 or 60 degrees?) The angle of the femur would correspond with the angle of the body so that the engergy would not be 'lost' via a supposed right angled femur. An upright trex would have energy transfering downwards thro the legs and feet and back up again

how did you make the t-rex on the computer i have been wanting to do that for months!
@JoeKaiersProductions16 күн бұрын
If this is in the UK there is a high probability of being inspired by Primeval (The BBC TV Show, 2007-2011)
@dali36612 жыл бұрын
@DrRyanBC IMO I do not think Trex actually hunted as in a predator stance -such as a low sleek, cheeta does etc but rather it was an oportunist hunter and sought potential prey that just happened to come it's way or fed on easy slow, prey etc. An upright stance wod have enabled Trex to both see and smell food much further away, carried on the wind etc. But obviously when about to attack it wod have lowered it's body down to lunge forward but that was not it's osteological neutral pose.

@DrRyanBC thats right but if you notice other dino bipeds seem to have slightly relatively smaller heads and much more curved backs and bigger forelimbs which suggested they did not walk upright but more horizontally in their stage of evolution altho their necks and heads were held upright. I believe the clues wit Trex being more upright is it's tiny forelimbs and a huge heavy head and very large, muscular legs. Also I think the pelvic bone suggests 'webbing' for strength..

@DrRyanBC is clearly much larger (4ft X 5ft Skull). I believe it's head must have weighed more than 2000lbs therefore to have such a weight overhanging horizontally would hav likely broke it's back. To stand upright (45-50degrees) is to naturally find it's centre of gravity.Also with straightened legs and a curved tail there wod have been no need for Trex to walk like a horizontal see -saw.
@dali36612 жыл бұрын

how did you do the effects with the bushes and so on ?
@dali36612 жыл бұрын
@DrRyanBC In my estimation, the animal could have walked upright without the tail ever touching the ground because the approx first third of the tail was essentially a solid counterwight to help balance the head whilst the rest of the tail acted as a finely tuned, flexible balancing mechanism (in conjunction with the animal moving its head/neck back and forth etc) A full grown African bull elephant's head apparently weighs nearly a ton and Trex head..
@WesleyO054 жыл бұрын
You can tell it’s CGI, but then again, this video is really old anyway.
