Realistically, the Spino never wouldn't had a chance against a T rex. Sure, they're larger, but a T rex is hfar stronger than a Spino. A Spino's jaws were designed to catch and eat fish while a T rex's were designed to crush bone.

...Its an almost universally accepted theory that Spinosaurus ate fish. Comparing them to crocodiles is fine but when crocs do attack land based prey they are either dragged in from the bank or attacked in the water and most of the time they drown, it doesn't work out that easy on land. T.rex had a far superior skull for attacking large prey and as far as bite force goes Tyrannosaurus put Spino to shame. They are both made for different things.

@MrOTK95 Agreed! This is just stupid that almost everyone that watches dinosaurs would say that. There is no competion! There are the best dinosaurs. Spinosaurus was the biggest carnivore but his diet was fish (and a slight chance he could've eaten small dinosaurs) while Tyrannosaurus was a scavenger (Posibility) (Sorry for the spelling) and they lived in different countires and you're right if they did meet they would have a small chance of fighting.

No, it couldn't. In the real world, outside of Jurassic Park, Spinosaurus was little bigger than Tyrannosaurus. The biggest logical estimates have it at around 16 meters in length and its possible that Tyrannosaurus could grow to 15 so there goes any size advantage. Tyrannosaurus was much more heavily built and was far stronger than Spinosaurus. Now, look at what they fight with. Spinosaurus eats marine life and has needle like teeth that are small sharp and relatively weak.

Yea, I suppose it was for creativity, since the rex has always been the badass xD I'm guessing they just wanted a new 'villain' lol. And for a plot twist? Coz when you see them size up, you think 'aw, spino, you're SCREWED!' but then spino kills him :| Even though the t-rex was actually winning for a bit, but the spino gets lucky haha They can't just do a rematch in the fourth one, coz that wouldn't be very creative :/ To make the rex back on top, he'd have to kill 2 spinos in 1 fight :D

What is the point of fighting guys. Yes, I do favor Spinosaurus but just because he is cool. The thing is, why are we fighting. Jurassic Park 3 is science fiction, just like any alien or monster movie. We seem to forget that it was fake. The fight between the two groups for spino and rex are going to fight forever. Lets get this straight: Everyone is entitled to their opinion. The only way for anyone to find out which would win is when either the time machine is created or enough DNA is found

We can tell t-rex would win in a fight because A. Spinosaurus's arms are in such a bad position they cant be used to fight at all, secondly, it's jaws are very weak, thirdly it's skeleton is fragile unlike the durable skeleton of t-rex, fourthly, it's teeth are so small and thin they cannot do any damage to a t-rex. It's all simple analysis that can be formulated from their structures.

T.rex on the other hand had massive teeth as long as 12 inches. It also ad far better vision, In fact T.rex had the best vision of any known predator. It also as far as i know had the strongest bite force of any know animal, much stronger than Spinosaurus. even though they both lived on different continents and would never have been able to fight i would put my money on T.rex. Its just far better equipped. Being excellent at catching fish isn't gong to help spino.
