The Presidency of Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) continues its initiatives to restore the mausoleum, mosque and tombs of 15 Companions of King Najashi Eshame, which were largely damaged in the civil war that lasted for nearly two years in Ethiopia's Tigray region.
According to the information compiled by AA correspondent, the area in Najashi village, located about 60 kilometres from Mekele city, was restored by TIKA in 2018 and opened to visitors.
The tomb area, which is one of the most prestigious projects carried out by TIKA in the field of cultural assets and has undergone a long-term meticulous restoration process, has been given a new face by preserving its texture with landscaping arrangements and additional buildings built.
