This is crazy I was playing one of your videos and lay on bed, then I felt asleep and dreamed for about 1 hours, the playlist kept on playing. I only remember the end of the dream now where I was running with my cousin, we were chased by some people I don't know why. We are running in his hometown where I used to go with my family to visit him when I was young. While we were running I saw one of the old telephone boots which are now completely nowhere to be found. When I saw this telephone boot I screamed to him "NOSTALGIA!", then I woke up. I was about to reach my computer to turn off the music and realized the current video title was Nostalghia. I am really surprised. Now I have the actual certainty that (classical) music is not just about trying to order sounds together to create something beautiful and apply a random title just to finalise it. These artists are really listening to their inner voice and using instruments to express thoughts and memories on the outside. Clearly this one entered in my dream and have talked to me about Nostalgia.

@@LordDickens-xu5jw maybe-but he's not a name like Beethoven or Bach or Mozart that nearly everyone would be familiar with. He was unknown to me until I saw one of his videos on my phone while I was looking for more pieces by another Japanese composer Yoshimatsu.(Coz I've long thought the last movement of his Piano Concerto "Memo Flora" was one of the best pieces I'd found).

We can hear a very subtle interplay between the violin solo and the string orchestra. This is a noticeable exception in Takemitsu's works. Takemitsu LOVES the subtle merging/opposition of quite different sonorities (instruments/groups). The harmony is led by synthetic modes, as most often in Takemitsu's works.❤🩹❤🩹❤🩹❤🧡💛💚💜🤎💜💚💛🧡❤❤🩹❤🩹❤🩹

Precise and beautiful performance of this somewhat mysterious concerto with silky sound of the violin solo and perfectly corresponding sound of the other instruments. The brilliant Maestro directs the compact and excellent ensemble in a ell-phrased tempo with effectively controlled dynamics. Truly fascinating!

Arigato
