One of my favorite percussion pieces. I played this in college . . .what a joy! I have a feeling this recording is EXACTLY what Takemitsu wanted his piece to sound like. Absolutely brilliant.

Probably up there very near the top of being my favorite composition ever. The rhythm, tasty-fluid-delicious harmonies and evocative figures that are in a constant flux... This is as close as one can get to translating the substance of water into music.

Where can I purchase an MP3 of this wonderful piece? The only versions I can find for purchase are piano, and while that is great listening, Rain Tree really seems to be made for these percussion instruments!
