Great tutorial. Me too on the weights. Making another t shirt quilt, this was very helpful. Thank you.

So you don't need to center the design in the square? It looks like a lot of extra blank fabric at the bottom of the designs. I have an order for a graduation quilt, and I'm worried I'm going to mess it up. So much info....and I need it all. Thaks cj

I cut my squares from the selvage edge which then leaves me a wider piece leftover on the fold end. That way you have less small pieces of scraps. And please tell us what you use for the stabilizer on the back of your t shirt squares.

I am using Pellon Shirtailor 950F as my stabilizer

You can always use the extra fabric that has the stabilizer to frame your 10 1/2 squares.🤔

It’s probably logical to those of you who sew, but how do you then sew the squares together to form the quilt without there being a seam showing on the back? Did I miss something?

Hi Susan- I have a playlist of how to make a t-shirt quilt. Here is the playlist. I hope you can find the answers you are looking for. kzbin.info/aero/PLC26UuejwRbrJ5l08Gmk8ZKPPJ2o-8Glk To answer your question about the seam showing on the back; if you are sewing the blocks together your seam will always show on the back until you add batting and a backing. I will link to a video where I show how to do this. It isn’t with a t-shirt quilt but the concept is the same if you’re not going to use the Quilt as you go method like I did on the t-shirt quilt. Let me know if you have any questions. kzbin.info/aero/PLC26UuejwRbqzFyA35jzpep6YiJrBQIB8

Your rotary cutting technique is risky. Cut up one side and across the top. Then turn your MAT 180 degrees so you are always cutting AWAY from your body, not towards you.
