No the reason that battle rap is declining is stupidity! Just some really bad moves. Number one taking battles off of KZbin and having them only on the app was dumb. Here is why. Battle rap is a specific and small culture that only appeals to a small genre. Only battle rap fans are looking for it. You cannot EXPAND your brand by limiting access to it! I found out about half of my favorite artist exclusively from KZbin. Number 2. Completely Unprofessional I have for years said that Battle rap cards are the worst. The live events are basically standing room only for 6-8 hours (WTF 🤬) most places don’t have food or air conditioning. That is just bad and unpleasant for the consumer. Events are supposed to start at 4 the actual first battle sometimes doesn’t actually start until around 6 and then ends at 12 Cmon Son! Then after waiting that long dudes go up there choking, stumbling, playing or start fighting. Number 3: No guaranteed PPVs So I can buy an event and you can’t guarantee I will see or hear it but I can’t get my money back AT ALL! I’m not talking an event I just didn’t like. That happens. I’m talking the ones you guys have where the lighting or sound goes out! Cmon Son Live Streams suck Nothing worse than watching an event and the screen freezes and you miss half or an entire round. 45 minutes between battles. This is so unacceptable. Professional concerts don’t take as long between sets as BR divas. The card gets stale and people don’t care by the end

When I knew the culture was in trouble was about 10 years ago Norbes did a go fund me to prove a point about fans supporting battle rap. That go fund me was up for like 2 weeks and didn't even gross $1,500. That's when I knew Battle rap is not sustainable. Then the apocalypse shit hit KZbin and they started demonetizing videos and Smack's vids started getting flagged that's when I knew the KZbin money and partnerships were gone. Harry aint here anymore, the Al Capone dude aint here anymore, Caffeine falling back off of battle rap, etc When you look at other leagues KOTD aint no where near as big as they were, RBE only really drop 2 or 3 big events a year, chrome only drops so many events and the events don't be that nice to be real. This battle shit is just not sustainable any longer.
