Bro if you have the desired of taking care of them, if you have the feel that it is your duty, if you feel hurt if you see them crying or suffering, well then you are not fit for a Saint's life. Ramana Maharishi never felt any such bond towards his family, even when she cried and tried to convince him to come home. Also there were other children to take care of the family. He had brothers he was not the only child. If you are the only child, then you have to be absolutely calm and have 100 % no connection towards the worldly needs. It may seem complicated, but once we understood the logic, its just the proper prospect of life
