I have got the T.SK105A.03 board and installed from above firmware for 1280x800 screen. Its working. But I find the black chip on board is heating excessively and when this happens does not respond to remote very well....probably throttling its operation due to heat. Any idea why heating? I am supplying with 12V into the socket. Also using a screen with 20pin LVDS connector starting at pin 1.

Hi, if by "aux" you mean the 3.5 mm jack socket for ear phones then it works for me on both USB and HDMI input. Maybe you have a bad HDMI cable, I have also seen HDMI cables that work one way but when the cable is reversed not, strange! Please consider subscribing if you have not done so already!

Hi, I bought this board recently before I really knew how many different types of connectors there were. I have a SAMSUNG LTN156AT27-H01 (not even listed on panelook, but there is an H02), and I have a 40 pin lvds that goes to a 20 pin connector for the board. Is there any way to get this board to work with the 20 pin or do I need to order a different controller board?

Some people report problems with particular USB flash drives especially "unbranded" ones. Try a different USB stick. You can easily check if the remote is working by pointing at a phone or camera screen. As cameras can "see" infra red you should see the LED blink as you press the buttons. Also the IR receiver is on the small board with the on / off indicator. Make sure that is visible to the remote. Good luck! Please consider subscribing if you have not done so already!

Have an old TX39D30VC1GAA panel the problem is that it has an integral CCFL backlight system, so instead of one power cable it got 2. What are my the options here with this controller?

I see 2 options. If you have the original CCFL board maybe you can power it from the controller board. Alternatively buy a 2 lamp inverter : 2 Lamp Backlight Universal LCD CCFL 10V-28V-Inverter bit.ly/2LampCCFL Please consider subscribing if you have not done so already!

Is there a way to dim the backlight? There's no backlight settings in menu, and I found one in Factory>Panel Settings but changing the value of the backlight does nothing at all

Cut the white pwm wire in half, that goes to the screen pwm. On the little pwm, Connect the pwm wire (white) from the screen to the mosfet gate instead of the output, and don't connect anything to the ground output. Connect the white wire from the screen adapter board to the positive input of the little pwm, and connect ground to the little pwm. I should do a video on this. That is correct, it only dims the screen not the backlight. Unfortunately I know of no way to do that via the board. It is possible that the power supply you are using cannot supply enough current. The board is quite power hungry needing a minimum of 3 Amps. Also check the high voltage backlight board is not touching anything. Otherwise maybe a broken panel. Please consider subscribing if you haven't done so already!!

Hi First of all I really liked your video. I wanted to recycle an old laptop screen as a new secondary screen. I ordered the same board as you and did everything exactly like you in the video. At first it worked like a charm but when I got to the panel settings something went wrong. I am not to sure if I cycled through the panel ID ones to much or if something else happened. But the screen turned black and nothing works anymore. The backlight is still working but the screen displays nothing. I tried to reflash the board but it did not work. Is there any way to reflash the board or to get it back to the factory settings. Do you have any idea or advice for a possible fix. Any help would be very much appreciated.

Hi, thanks for liking my video. I think the only way is to re-flash the board. This is simply the same procedure as when you originally flashed it. @@timdubios1836 Clutching at straws now, are you using the same flash drive as originally? Some people report the boards do not like some USB drives. Try a branded (Kingston or the like) drive. Format the drive and put only the bin file and checksum on it. Double check your power supply can give 3 amps @ 12 volts. Finally it's possible the firmware archive is corrupt, try downloading again and extract the file you need. Good luck!

That is a little confusing. There is a 30 pin header on the controller board which can have various cables fitted according to the screen. So if you buy the one with a 30 pin LVDS connector it will work.

I would first identify if it is a LED or CCFL backlight by using the panel look website (link in description). From the original equipment see if you can find which are the power connections. I think the best option will be to buy either a camera that has HDMI out or a CCTV type camera with composite video out. You may even have an old camera with composite video already! Please consider subscribing if you have not done so already!

Hi, I have installed tv53.03 universal. But I have three problems: - I can't update firmware. I install a pen drive and never turn on blue light. I tried with diferents pen drives and same results. - The image looks backwards. It is not a serious problem, I can place the TV upside down. - The button panel of the controller does not work. The buttons are badly mapped and there are functions that do not work. Also, the panel does not receive the signal from the remote control. - I cannot update the panel firmware. I insert the Pen-Drive with the files in the root (VST53C_4MB_M.bin) and it does nothing. The TV picture looks pixelated and I think this is the reason. How can I solve these problems? Regards.

Provided the flashing was successful (LED goes from slow flash to fast flash) then: Double check the supported resolution both of the file and panel. Change the panel settings in the "hidden" settings menu. I have a V56 board for screen M215HW01 VB. It came with firmware already installed from the seller. But the "menu 1147" method does not open the hidden settings on mine. The screen will turn on and display, but the colors are all wacky. Just like you said in your video it looks like an acid trip, or something. You don't need to enter the factory menu to load new firmware. If you put a USB drive in with a new *.bin file it will load it on power up.

When loading firmware the light never stops blinking that is normal. If the code is not loading then try another USB stick. Some people report problems with "unbranded" drives. My board is a different model but will be similar. The sensor for the remote was already fitted on the small board that has the LED for power. Also there was another remote sensor supplied I do not know why, maybe there are different types of remote supplied? First I would check that your remote is actually working. This can be done easily by looking at the IR LED in the remote with a camera (smartphone or other) you should see the LED flash when you press the remote buttons. If that is OK I would check the output of the IR receiver on the board, you would need an oscilloscope for that. I built a simple one from a kit : kzbin.info/www/bejne/sH-3iXStrbl6Ztk Good luck!

@@AarshMajmudar Hi, it is quite simple to test the IR receiver on the small circuit board it has only 3 connections I think the centre one is the output. If you check with a voltage meter you should see the voltage change when you press a button on the remote, if you have an oscilloscope even better! I mage one from a kit : kzbin.info/www/bejne/sH-3iXStrbl6Ztk If it is not working you may be able to get a replacement from and old satellite or TV receiver. Hi, are you sure you have loaded the firmware for 1280 * 800 resolution? Check that you have a power supply of at least 3 Amps 12 volts. The board will appear to reboot if the power is too low. Also check the jumpers that supply the LCD voltage, must be set as the LCD specification. Please consider subscribing if you have not done so already!

@@1nformatica There are options in the factory settings to modify the saturation, gamma, etc. If you select picture mode, we get options for W/B adjust, QMAP adjust, color debug etc. We also have something like NONLINEAR option. Withing this we get to set various curves for brightness, contrast, saturation, hue, sharpness, and so on… The challenge is that i am unable to set it to get accurate colors from the board i have. I have tried fiddling around to no luck. Images that i get are too saturated or too dark. Do you have any resources from where i can understand and set these options?

As far as I know there is no way to disable the firmware update. Check the FAQ section in the video description. Make sure the drive is formatted FAT32 and the correct firmware for your type of card is unzipped into the root directory with the checksum file. If all that fails the card maybe faulty. Good luck!

@@1nformatica Thanks, but that does not help. The backlight is at 100% the screen has a white glow to it even when I run the test modes from the hidden menu. In the hidden menu under panel is an option for "backlight" but it makes no difference. That is what I am trying change. The way it is now, everything is just washed out due to the backlight. The board needs a 3 Amp supply. Unfortunately step up converters are very inefficient and will generate a lot of heat. You could use something like this : DC 3V-35V to DC 5V-45V Boost Module 5A s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_ATOxLH but really a 12 volt supply is a better solution. Maybe you can make one using 18650 cells. @@kforkindness6295 I would make a 4 cell in series pack each cell has a max voltage of 4.2 volts so a step down convertor would also be needed. 18650 cells are available in many capacities for example 2 Amp Hour, so to make a pack to last 1 hour at discharge of 3 Amps would need at least 2 strings of 4 cells in parallel, 8 cells. If you mean the power LED on the remote controller sensor board then you will need to put a resistor in series with it. As the device is 2 LED's it has one "common" pin which on my unit is the centre pin which goes to ground. This is the pin that you would need to put a resistor in series with. I guess it would be easier to desolder the LED and remove it from the board to do this.

Hello, my panel is one B170PW03 V5, i bought the T.SK106A.03, i upload the GENERAL_1440_900 firmware. It works, but when I select AV, HDMI, VGA or Media input, it shows me the screen split in half and the image 2 times. It only shows the full single screen with the TV antenna input. How can I correct it?

The "bin" and "txt" file need to be put in the root directory of the flash drive. Some people report that "unbranded" drives do not work properly. Use a branded Kingston or similar drive. Make sure your 12 volt PSU is capable of 3 amps. Make sure the LVDS cable is correctly connected, the power wires are in the fist few pins. Is the backlight on? The firmware I have does not support the logo function. I see on some reviews an extra option in the photo view which is "capture" to get a logo from a photo. This option is not available on any firmware I can find, sorry.

If you have a cold cathode backlight it could be a failed inverter. Try disconnecting the inverter and see if the board stays on.

Esque no encuentro ninguna que funcione o el modelo del mando, active sin querer el modo que no me deja subir el volumen de la tele ni nada y pense que igual se puede pero no encuentro nada de informacion por internet. Un saludo y gracias igualmente 😃😃
