Okay here's my theory, I would like you guys to let me know your thoughts about it: It literally feels like the team is just as lost as when Faker was injured and replaced by Poby. At that moment, it was clearly not only Poby's fault but something else going on. It was partly Poby's performance indeed, but all the rest of the team was going crazy as well with misplays, awful macro, horrible decision making, etc. We all realized how Faker was certainly the head of the team and the shot caller for the most part and Keria or whoever was replacing his role was not doing a good job. So my theory is, what if the "testing" they're doing has nothing to do with drafts or meta, but with letting someone else be the shot caller and head of the team? This could have something to do with Faker letting the team know that he's planning on retiring soon, I can't think of any other reason for them to try that if that's what's happening. If that was the case, it could also justify the team's individual performances downgrade. It's gotta be a stressful situation which can lead to mistakes being made mechanically wise. Just my opinion/theory on what could be the possible reason of this madness.

Can't happen all the time. Others teams can step up by some moments. HLE has really strong team and showing way more faster than expected they are worthy for being big outsiders for Worlds. Damwon still reinventing themselves, KT best or bad..it's happening. Also, if it's about your theory and replacing Faker as main shotcaller, it will be cool to have access to way more voice coms. It's so interesting. Maybe even with the game itself. We'll see. But no so much worries. We all know usually T1 version at Worlds will not be anywehere near the one we saw on bad summer, like it's becoming habit for that team last 3 years.

No, I think they're just deviating from a winning formula and disconnected in communication. It doesn't help that Keria becomes a different player on tank supports. They don't normally play Ivern and have to play around it. Same with AP junglers where Oner is a very reliable tank/AD jungler who can initiate. Faker on AD mids isn't reliable, he can carry but it's inconsistent. Guma's weakest champs are Ezreal, Kai'sa and Zeri (he's good on Zeri but his team has to play around it). Zeus even on comfort picks is struggling which is very strange but might be helped if Faker is allowed on playmakers that can roam. Lane swaps fucked him up, you can see it game 2.

TBH, this current T1 form is bad. One of the factors that I see that greatly affects them is the fact that the meta does not fit their champion pool, maybe except Zeus and Oner. Faker is playing ADC mid which does not have the same impact as having Azir and Orianna (Ult setups) and Gumayusi playing Jhin and Ezreal which does not look good at those picks but he plays it since its meta and then we also have Keria which plays conventional supports (diff from what he played last year, picking non-meta supports and sticking with unpredictable picks.) Maybe the best thing that can happen is a major shift in the meta, which can give T1 some sort of room to utilize their comfort picks. Just my observation, not trying to be an expert or something 😅.

To put it simple. If you look at it big picture, this T1 roster only had one style of play. Play comps and strats that win early game and snowball off of that. Yea it has worked sometimes against good teams and won Worlds. However, it has been proven time and time again that it doesn't give you consistent results against actual contenders. T1 has been trying to reconstruct their team playstyle this split and they have been struggling.

Now their teammates get DDoS, not them so most of their games are stomps or have an afk so they never finish proper games.
