T1E23 Belarus MTZ-82 restoration project. Part 23 | Air Seat, New thermostat housing

T1E23, Installing a new Grammer MSG95G/721 air seat, installing a new thermostat housing (245-1306040) and preparing for cabin heater.
Short Summary :
1. 00:06, Removing the old air seat. The air system was never working on it.
2. 00:37, This is a important lever. You can switch the PTO to neutral from here.
3. 00:51, Lever easily accessible
4. 01:08, Grammer MSG95G/721
5. 01:32, New hardware to mount the seat is ready and painted
6. 02:09, One happy camper
7. 02:26, New type thermostat housing (245-1306040). This is the good stuff that WORKS
8. 03:28. Preparing all the hosing for cabin heater installation

10.05:06, Bloopers, this seat was sooooo heavy. It took me ages to get it in the cabin

Currently waiting on an alternator for my 572 here in the states. I ran a new wire to ammeter and it was charging for about 15 seconds then quit. A local generator repair guy couldn’t source parts... decided to just buy new!

nice seat but cost is high. in Lithuania 739eur. Waiting for the video how it works when driving the tractor. For me very loud tractor sound in cabin more problem than hard seat.

The first ride on that seat will wipe all your memories of that cost. Btw I might have a fix for the loud sound. More on that later (still in testing phase..).

Better flow with the new housing? Look like a block heater on the side? In the old days with the starting pop motor you could warm up the main engine in winter it was an advantage but you had to maintain an extra engine Take care be safe

With the new type housing the thermostat actually works. I had issues constantly with the old system. Old days are luckily over, the electric heater works very well.
