That was a guy named Chet Chetty by far the best anti Jin, Paul player. He played a lot of casuals against Mad Dog Jin(considered the best Jin in the world before this tournament). He was the first player I'd ever experienced that could block the hellsweep on reaction. I tried everything from hiding my CD animation in a hop to doing it like a dashing electric. None of it worked on Chet. I was only able to hit him with a single Hellsweep the entire match. Defense was my specialty in this game I thought I was the best... until I came across Chet. Nothing but respect and admiration of his skills 20 years later🙌🏽 ~TreyPhoenix

Goddamn those exchanges at 16:30 though. Right out of a choreographed TAS. T4 was a mess, but it had massive action movie energy. edit: Since this doing numbers, I'd also like to gush about the timing. T4 is one of very few fighters that bother with the "rhythm" element that underpins Jackie Chan fight scenes. It was already in strings in a way it wasn't with other 3D fighters, but unlike the other games and even the other Tekkens, T4 also maintains that rhythm _between_ them, in exchanges, pokes and turns. EDIT2: Edited the timestamp by a few seconds (from :42) to better show some earlier exchanges.

The gameplay was modified to be more offensive and pressure oriented which is part of why Jin was so OP in Tk4. Movement was heavily nerfed (backdash was barely useful and there was no neutral crounching or neutral/back jumping) and the stages all had walls and uneven terrain.

Aside from being broken as fuck this game is the best in the series , no questions asked , when it comes to everything else from presentation ; art style , story , character design , no super buff dudes and cool looking female characters to name a few . Really miss everything about this level of care that Tekken had. After this , Tekken became much less about the seriousness and coolness of various martial arts and more about cartoonty style joke characters (still miss T4 Paul rip). My favourite in the series for sure. Edit: Thank you for uploading this stuff. Super cool.
