A look at how my high accuracy clock is doing after another year of testing.
I set it up for another year and show how the Keysight 53220A frequency counter / timer has been very useful to collect data.
Chit chat about my interest in water purification measurement and the rabbit holes it's led me down.

I truly miss your calculator videos on the other channel mate. I must have rewatched them about a dozen times. Didn't know this channel existed. Glad to see you doing well.

I've been watching your channel for many years and will continue as long as you produce content. I find your videos fascinating and entertaining, almost regardless of the subject. I hope you'll continue to make periodic updates as and when you can!

I'm absolutely interested in the passion projects. I'm particularly keen on your channel because unlike most, you document and discuss the various tangents and dead-ends that these things invariably end up taking you on. I often find myself going deep into rabbit-holes (some I have yet to emerge from) and this is a big part of the appeal of my own hobby projects.

I enjoy long format videos with lots of talking, avid fan of efap. Your voice is relaxing as well to listen to. I also enjoy the proper testing you do and love reliable self sustaining living projects like rain water collection.

Hi Martin! Glad to see you again! By coincidence between yesterday and today I went through a lot of your videos regarding solar panels. I'm planning to install a solar system with battery and your videos were extremely useful!

Purest water is to use injectable water in a resealable phial, which is pretty much going to be as pure as possible water, and with a long shelf life. With drinking water after that 0.5 micron filter you also want a mixed bed ion exchange column, which gets most of the dissolved ions out, but not the organic products, which you remove with large activated charcoal filters. For the CFC try Galden, get the high temperature versions, over 200C, which are as good as flourinert, but a lot cheaper, and at room temperature very slow to evaporate.

Many thanks for your interesting and explanatory videos. I am very interested in oscillators - especially OCXO´s and TCXO´s.Can you be so kind and recommend good literature about the subject please ! Many greetings from a rainy Stockholm ( Sweden ) from Jan Eklöf😀

As usual I must admit that the main reason for subscribing to your channel WAS your ability to captivate and motivate your audience with those excess words that you put into your video. I look forward to the extra FLUFF that you add as instructional information for me at least. BRAVO for the fluff and just simply keep us informed with the necessary pre-amble...

I am one of those that is very much interested. It was these videos that inspired me to make my own Arduino clock 2 years ago, that gets GPS signal and show accurate time all the time. My wife like it a lot. So thank you very-very much for this inspiration!!! Integrating OCXO into Arduino is still a thing for me to do, as i have not found a solution for it yet..

Rain and lake water contains "radioactive cesium-137, strontium-90, plutonium-239 and tritium" from nuclear explosions over 50 years ago. Theses elements have increased world wide cancers to be ten times more common than 1940 levels. An extremely powerful magnet as part of the filtering system is necessary to make rain and lake water safe. Ron W4BIN

We are sick of the element Cesium and especially its isotopes. Every science project has Cesium in it. Let's go with Osmium.

I would also be interested in the water quality tests you are going to do. Also the audio tests using the HP 3561A. I picked one up on ebay a while ago and have yet to use mine also.

Comment 2...about this vid...I have to say I'd never expect to hear about water collection/ purification and Flourinert in the same video. I hope everyone learns what they need to from your upcoming video because we certainly don't want people playing around or thinking about cooling with Flourinert. Leave it for its specialized use cases only. I'm glad it's so cost prohibitive that most likely enthusiasts won't touch it. Anyway dunking components means you have to keep everything super clean and closely monitor resistivity, as inevitably the fluids will become contaminated and there goes your good day.

If you truly want to test your water I would look into getting a DR3900 from Hach. It will perform something like 220 different tests. We use at the water plant I work at.
