Hi, thanks for the video. I purchased the dark grey due to a Halford review saying the colour was lighter. Wrong. Anyway I had used the warmer but did over heat in a couple of spots so I used 240 sandpaper, degreased, dried and then applied 3 coats. Cosmetically very good but notice that even after leaving 48 hrs to cure, a small area where masking tape had overlapped, did pull off the paint so could see the original colour so unsure your comments on it "dying" - sorry if I misunderstood you. Also easier to scrape and so original visible again. What I am looking at now - and so improve on your process - is to see if can find a lacquer to spray over that would protect it to some extent and so not as easy to scrape. Really pleased i found your video as now considering refurbishing the footwell trims as well. By the way have you found a spray that colour matches the dashboard? Thanks Simos

Shame about the colour. In my experience even the light grey is what I would term a “mid-grey”. As I noted, there’s a very fine line between “repair” and “destruction” - and unfortunately you’re more inclined to keep going on a spot when you see the repair working. Not sure what’s happening on the bit where your paint has come off. I haven’t seen anything like that but I wonder if there was something still on your door cards that stopped the dye penetrating? Perhaps silicone or grease? Would suggest you test a small patch before you spray lacquer on the whole door card as it may make the card stand out as shiny compared to the rest of the interior and/or fill in the embossing - again changing the finish. Well done though and please let me know how you get on! N

@@highergroundlifestyle Hi Re repair - those I have shown it to do like the overall look as it does look like new. Re paint coming off, where i had masked (adjusted after first spray) at the top I hadn't noticed it had moved onto the 1st coat. So when I pulled it off it took the 1st coat paint. No issue just thought I would mention it as maybe should of left longer to cure after first coat.. I had degreased it twice but you never know. Re lacquer, I have made (scribed) some soft bases to go in the bottom of the door storage and notice that when testing the template fit I did scratch the card. I'm going to sand down and respray it again hence looking for something additional to protect. Again many thanks for the video as it showed a good solution and if I could attach a photo to show I would of done. Cheers

@@highergroundlifestyle Hi I'm not a lover of facebook so sorry. I have started to look for some flexible vinyl lacquer to add protection but many viewers do like the look. I've made some inserts for the door pockets to protect / stop banging about and they do look the business. halfords still have the price at 5.99 a tin but still have the same coloured lids on both light and dark greys. They told e to buy the light to see what colour it is but would not give a refund if did not like lol Take care Simos
