An extra horrible fact about Fortnite: when the doom slayer outfit was released he had 2 other variants with his armor painted black or white. But the thing was is that the doom slayer’s elbow was exposed and the black variant also had elbow painted black. Meaning something else on his body could be painted black.

Horror isn't what determines the rating. Nudity, sexual themes, cursing/ adult language and blood usually determine the R/Mature rating. There are many horror games and movies that are rated PG13 or T rated because they do not exceed the level of mature content needed to have an R or M rating. Most of these things are unnoticeable in normal gameplay and are directed for gamers who specifically focus on finding these easter eggs. If you are letting your kids play a survival game in the first place then none of this should matter anyway.... it's just a game.
