I think the answer is: they don't know who they are. Batman had a fortnite-based comic issue back when he came out, and the guy for the life of him couldn't remember Catwoman, Harley or even himself.. Though I believe that he escapes and remembers it all? I dunno. So I think they just didn't have time or didn't think of it, who knows :)

Imo tbh, I think that a more niche reference for the train could have been Conner from Thomas and friends, as during the Brenner Era (S17-S21), there was an episode called "Last Train for Christmas", where the rest of the engines had to clear the tracks for Conner. The most memorable part of that episode was when Hiro blasted right through a snowdrift on the Victortowns Rolling Bridge (For those uneducated in Thomas, that's the main red liftbridge that connects the Island to the Mainland in CGI.). I apologize for going on this entire rant.😅 Thomas was my childhood, along with many others', and seeing what it has become really disappoints me. The only reason why there’s an adult fandom for the series is because of nostalgia, just like Fortnite. When the adults were just kids, they read the Railway Series Books by Rev. Wilbert Awdry, amd the original show creator, Britt Allcroft, had a passion for making the show. Yes, in Season 3 they did have disagreements, but just like George Carlin said "The Morals weren't blatant. They were gently massaged into the episodes.". That’s the entire reason why he became the US Narrator for the show: He knew that the show treated the audience with a degree of respect. Again, sorry about this rant. I just wanted to get my emotions out and the reason why there's even an Adult Fandom for Thomas. This comment started of as a idea for a reference in the game, but then exploded into something else.😂 It’s ironic how things change and happen.

Fortnite's problem with Nintendo is that they want their IP stuff to only be usable on a Nintendo product, Fortnite is Cross Platform, so if you were to get a Samus skin or something, you would be able to play it on PlayStation, and Nintendo hates the idea of sharing their IP like that.
