New reply to below comments, the rod can be pried side to side about 3/8 to get the pipe out,( if you install one ,you will understand) when installing. Also if window is out you can use a tie down to hold center down as he is talking about,, and they do sell replacements at classic industries. The other problem is the plastic sleeve causes the rods to be shorter which is why i mentioned the rod can be slid with a screwdriver if your struggling with that problem. It is a two person job because of the rod flex in center but if you can secure it somehow as i did, you can do it. I also suggest you take the truck off, and mark the hinge locations before removal. They also sell left and right rods, and with spoiler and without (thicker). They sent me two lefts the first time by mistake. I do suggest two people, and if your window is on make sure you protect it with something heavy incase the torsion gets away from you. Note when you take the old worn out rods off they only have about half the torque of new ones.. Harder to put on than take of old ones.

I did it and it was simple, buy a 1/2 inch pipe about two feet long and a screwdriver. Nothing could be simpler.

my passenger side torque rod has broken off where it make the 90 degree turn, so it has no tension. Not sure if they sell replacements.
