I learned about tabbed back in the early 2000s and I wondered the same thing right away. I met him at his show and talked with him for a little bit and he said he didn't want all that Fame and notoriety because he thought those people that had it were weird. He really said that. I guess he likes doing what he's doing but his career is not over. I think you're right he would be a favorite for everyone he's that kind of talent and man

Saw Tab this summer. Not only was the music fantastic but he's very funny as a frontman. Reminds me of Mitch Hedberg. One of the best shows I've seen in a long time.

Can't stop listening to this tune. It has that grayer shade of pale thing but with a twist that keeps you want to playin it. In Oklahoma now but my friends from Louisiana told me to add it to my set list so I'm learning it much like Tab's way versus Lerouxs because of his charismatic style that I associate with. Great job Tab. Hope to meet you some day. BTW...I played keys with Pineapple, Smokehouse and Terry Seals.

@stijnxd the original is by a band called Louisiana Leroux. Its been quite a while since I've picked the song but the chords can be found online. All I can remember is the song easier to play with a capo on 4th fret. Hope this helps.

Tab does this a bit differently than Louisiana's LeRoux 's original, but I don't mind that at all. Tab makes it his, and the piece still has style and integrity. He also doesn't try to do a copy version, and miss it....which is awful when a band does that. Just another example of Tab doing what he does...very well!

That's pretty racist, calling the black women "downright lazy"....but I guess that's why this song is so......real Louisiana, that's exactly what someone really from NOLA would say....he is talking about streetwalkers. I was walking down the street in NOLA with a friend once, & all these men kept coming over & offering money...I didn't get it. My friend was a large black guy, he was my cheerleading partner at LSU Baton Rouge, he got really upset, I was just confused. In retrospect, I was dressed very preppy, this was based solely on the fact he was black & walking down the street with me.
