From the tutorials i have seen everyone uses the rectangle to get the active variant. You can also use stroke on the autolayout just for the bottom, this also makes it easier to edit if you wanted to change it later

Works wonderful, but if I want to place this whole thing on another page, then the entire flow stops working. What am I doing wrong? It works outside of this page where I want to put it, but once I place it in the section of the page, then it stops. Does the main page need to have some additional settings?

I would suggest restarting the prototype page. It happens to me all the time but it gets fixed after restart.

Damn, I really wish you could have the "content" change itself in variant when you click another button with the interaction as if you're firing an event, or have one interaction affect another component, that way you don't have to replicate the same thing over and over, feel redundant, my thinking's probably all geared incorrectly while using this app.
