Il tabarro viene confezionato a mano, un capo per volta, da abili artigiani e sarti di provata e lunga esperienza.
La linea e il taglio sono stati mutuati da alcuni tabarri originali di fine ‘800 e inizi ‘900 facenti parte della collezione del Tabarrificio Veneto.
L’ Artigiana Sartoria Veneta di Mirano, affinché non andasse perduto l’uso di un capo di abbigliamento così diffuso nell’alta Italia, nel padano-veneto e a Venezia in particolare, iniziò parecchi anni fa la produzione sartoriale di alcuni modelli di tabarro dal vago sapore dei bei tempi andati, nella convinzione che potessero essere apprezzati anche ai nostri giorni.
Nacque così il Tabarrificio Veneto, l’unico esistente in Italia.
Il nuovo tabarrificio, di Sandro Albano Zara ha sede a Mirano, graziosa cittadina vicinissima a Venezia.

Each tabarro is made by hand, one by one, by specialized craftsmen and tailors with long-standing experience.
The line and cut have been adopted from original examples from the collection of Tabarrificio Veneto that date from the turn of the twentieth century.
To avoid that this garment, (once so com- monly used in Northern Italy, the Po Val- ley, the regione of Veneto, and Venice in particular), should pass into disuse, many years ago the Artigiana Sartoria Veneta di Mirano began to tailor certain types of tabarro in the style of the by- gone era, with the conviction that such articles might still be appreciated in the present day.
Thus, Tabarrificio Veneto was born, and remains the only such business in Italy.
The new cloak maker, or tabarrificio, of Sandro Albano Zara is based in the charming town of Mirano near Venice.
