Hi Tabi, thanks for great and inspirational vids. For the cold and the gas, try not using Butane bottles, but get the mixed 70% Butane / 30% Propane, they will very likely work for you in cold weather conditions
@jordanboudreau5076 Жыл бұрын
Very true butane doesn't work well in cold climate. It's the boiling temptress is like 0° c where propane is -44 so it's much more reliable

You can warm up the gas can to your heater by putting it inside your coat for a few minutes. You can warm up your lighter by holding it against the side of your neck for a couple of minutes. You should keep your gas can and water bottles inside your sleeping bag overnight. But you really should keep your heater going for the whole night in cold so extreme. Or sleep in your kotatsu. I love watching winter camping videos. Keep having fun!

Next time you go camping at cold temperatures you can keep your butane bottles and your lighters in tha cab of your truck where the heater can keep them warm. First thing when you get to your camping spot light your heater. That will warm up all your other accessories. Also at nite you can put your bottle of butane in your sleeping bag with you to keep it warm. These are all tricks I learned camping in Alaska for many years. Butane will not vaporize at colder temperatures. That’s why I always used propane appliances in Alaska because it will vaporize down to -40. Fun video. Keep camping.
