There was an older lady in the store who needed help getting something off the top shelf. She asked ME if it was ok for her to borrow my husband to help her. I said sure. After my husband helped her, she thanked him, then looked at me and said, "Thank you too, ma'am." I was very impressed by that woman and had much respect for her.

A thing on involving yourself with married people. When I was young (I’m talking around 18) I asked my mama, hypothetically what she would say if I was sleeping with a married man. She told me hypothetically what would I have to offer a married man. I asked her what she meant and she explained that this man already had a wife, children, a house and a business. She told me he had everything he needed so what could I possibly offer him besides my body. It was at that moment that I realized I had more to offer than my body and I deserved more than someone else’s scraps. That is a lesson I will forever hold and pass on to whomever may need it.

@kmeeks92987 Жыл бұрын
@@malekkushimuzik3580 who hurt you, beloved? The fact that the word “scraps” triggered you when there was an actual message here is very telling. I’m not sure who made you feel disposable (or like “scraps”) but I would love for you to consider that you are enough. Whoever you are, wherever you are on your life journey, you are enough. And if you’re not, put in the work and become so much that your cup runneth over. Become so much that people become more just by being in your presence. This isn’t a gender issue. It’s a self worth issue…. And to be clear in case comprehension was lost in translation, the man isn’t the scraps, it’s anything he has to offer after he’s expended everything to his family (time, money, energy, intellect, etc). Peace and blessings.

I had no idea until I was about 27 years old that I didn’t truly know what a healthy relationship looked like. We are taught that marriage is the goal but most of us don’t have a healthy real life example of what one looks like so we learn from our trauma filled peers and the toxic media and sit here confused as to why we aren’t happy. These kind of conversations matter soooo much because most of us don’t know what we are doing

In yr 8.5 of my marriage, there was a “friend” that kept coming around and calling my husband. He took my minivan (those days, lol) to her father to fix. Up until then, infidelity was not a concern. So, we divorced later and do you know that he was in a relationship with this woman later. I went to his house every weekend to drop off my son and there she was living there. It just goes to show that she was waiting all along for her chance to get in. They didn’t last but still, it was validation that you don’t need any new friends that are not friends with you both.

Chance brought it through. That story about his buddy... "You are the bus. You are the train..." 😮‍💨 Even if this particular thing isn't relative to me, what he said, I felt that! That's a gem that can be applied to all areas of life when you're operating in the flesh (being selfish). It's why I don't play with people's feelings or time. I don't go out to dinner with a guy because I'm bored or for a free meal. I don't know the level of his investment. Plus, I wouldn't want anyone to do it to me.

@tanyag1160

Infidelity never happens unexpectedly. Infidelity happens when grown married people allow a female/male other than their spouse to have access to parts of their life that belong exclusively to the marriage. There's no such thing as innocent flirting or confiding in someone other than your spouse, this opens the door to infidelity.

I have been married for 40 years, and we made a pact to never allow anyone to interfere with our relationship, including family. Boundaries are always set for who we associate with and allow in our home or hang out with. I remember when I was in my 20’s and went to the bathroom in the church, when I returned to the pew this skank was sitting next to my husband (there were plenty of pews that we empty). My husband made sure before I got back that he had moved over and left a gap! 😅😂. That skank got the message and never played that game again! 😅

💯 I remember one time in college, when my roommate/teammate was out of town. Her boyfriend came to our dorm apartment, as he often did. That night, the energy was weird and he suggested we order some food and just hang out to watch a movie together. I immediately removed myself from the situation and called her. He thought he could have both of us. Wasn’t happening captain! She was/is like a sister to me and I would never! #Boundaries

@@CFBMcKinn4475 Chile…She and I are still tight. Unfortunately at the time, she was so in love with him that she convinced herself it was nothing to it. They eventually broke up, but it was after he put her through emotional hell with ALL his other infidelities. At one point, I had to break the news to her that he had married a girl that he was cheating on her with while we were in college. All three of us were athletes, I overheard a conversation he was having with one of our sports trainers. The trainer asked about his wife and I was FLOORED. It was a really awful situation.

13:26 😂😂😂, Tab is sooo funny with the stare omg, but I don’t blame her honestly . I love these two together and they make a great example of how a marriage should be. I get tired of people saying your insecure if you don’t want your partner being friends with opposite gender to an extent. Like it really depends on the situation and the nature of that person they are friends with. Especially if they have no history and you personally don’t know them and haven’t met them. This really is how other people creep in as “friends” and try and ruin your relationship. It’s not being insecure, it’s just the reality of how some people can be sometimes. It’s reasonable not to always trust people you don’t know to respect, value, and honor your relationship.

The ones doing the mental gymnastics to make a secure boundary sound like an insecurity are the very ones with being a CREEP in mind. They tell on themselves that quickly when they call it an insecurity to have boundaries for the comfortability of your relationship and livelihood🤔
@LegendaryDevonn12
@LegendaryDevonn12 Жыл бұрын
They think they’re so smart by using the shaming tactic to guilt you into letting your partner have every or anyone as a friend, so they themselves can creep in. Usually if you check their past behaviors, past relationships, and the way their life is set up, the antics and the fuckery matches up.

I just wanted to give an update. Me and my childhood friend got back together, we exchanged phone numbers, and have been together for a few weeks. He wants to marry me eventually and I am so overjoyed because even though we broke up in the 7th grade, I have done so much work at protecting my virtue as a young woman, and growing in my walk with God and feel fully prepared. Both of us are 23 and its awesome to find someone in my age range who is marriage minded and were on the same page. Back in middle school, I had scoliosis and had to wear a back brace and had all of these people telling me i was ugly, and i was telling him that and he said, "I always thought you were perfect just the way you are". One of my girlfriends who recently just got engaged, told me to take it one day at a time which is great advice. Even though marriage is our goal, we still wanna soak in all of the memories we are making and enjoy the journey to the altar.
