Being a South African born Indian , I am so proud to see a woman play so well and has won medals. And a brother sing and play excellently. I play keyboard and harmonium since 1985. I just started learning tabla and dholak since 2010 and tabla is the most complex instrument to play . I just love you guys for the seriousness that you take in playing music.

Some of the disgusting comments here from some Pakistanis against Sumatra are absolutely shameful!! Playing Tabla is a respectable Art and should be appreciated whether it comes from a man or a woman. We should encourage our youth, men or women to get involved in music and other art! Women have the same God-given rights and so please respect her and her Art. TABLA BAJA --SUMAIRA I saw you playing TABLA on my mobile. You played very well and you are UNIQUE. Till now i had seen that when a muslim girl sings in any competition or in front of a big gathering, the next day many a loudspeaker shouting at the top of their voice "FATWA" and branding her and family inclusive. Heard them shouting that in ISLAM nachna, gaana mana hai/ haram hai.
