Nuce, the 16 tablas are tuned in various pitches or scales Technically what ever you play it's musical and in rhythm. If you know tanka beats you can do amazing patterns with this Nice video.

In "Tarang" the "ra" is not pronouced as "raang" but pronouced with same rhyme, duration and stress as in "Ta" both in "Tabla" or "Tarang".
