One thing we can say about Waldner and the Swedish TT Team is that they are obviously the most skillful at that time and chivalrous. Once their opponents argued about a point, be assured the Swedish players would concede the next point. I have seen Appelgren, Pearson, and Waldner did that so many times. Very admirable and amicable sportsmanship. I have never been to Sweden but I do wonder if most Swedes are like that.

i totally forgot how good Saive's backhand was back then. some really nice shots here.

Saive's backhand was crazy against pushes(usually killed them down the line),had great feeling for looping from mid distance but it was absolute garbage when blocking.
