@@thekid8163 After playing it, and getting up to tempo, i realized it’s actually a relatively easy piece. Mvt 1 just flies through your fingers at full tempo, Mvt 2 is slow and pretty, mvt 3 is fast but short, Mvt 4 is slow and pretty again, and Mvt. 5 is the hardest of them all. Don’t stress you’ve got this:)

Can I more information on the recording of this piece please? Is it recorded by Marcel Mule himself? What year and who's the pianist?
@recorder387 жыл бұрын
Yes, Marcel Mule is playing here. The pianist is Solange Robin-Chiaparin. Paule Maurice (1910-1967) composed the piece in the years 1954-1959 for Marcel Mule himself.

The pianist was Solange Chiapperin and she told me herself (when I was at the Paris Conservatory) that she never got paid for this recording...

Marcel Mule is the father of the French saxophone school and one of the greatest saxophonists of all time.
