Thank you! I had trouble finding “read foreign tables” in the API docs until I found your video 😄👏🏻

You suggested using the client email as a foreign key in the order table. However, there is only one client in the client table. How can I implement this if multiple users can order a single product?

Super clear explanation once again. Do you know if supabase has a way of supporting type-safety for a query like this? Because I'm guessing supabase has no idea what you're fetching because you're putting the query in a string

In the docs you can export your types for type-safety however I can’t answer your question I’ve never try to preprocess my queries here yet - let me search and come back to you 😉

Alright I did not get a solution to my problem. I have an artist table that has a field called genre and that genre field is connected as a foreign key to another table "genre". So I can choose the choices from Table 'genre' that appears in field 'genre' in table 'artist'. however I should be able to select more than one genre in the genre field in artist table. so Artist 1 has genre "rock, pop, folk" where rock, pop, folk are fields in another table named 'genre'. Right now I can only select one and not all the genre. How the hell do you do that.

I got your response: an in between table called artists_genre with user_id and genre_id ❤️

Hello Guillaume, thanks for the video ! A quick question : are there any good practices regarding a relation set up in supabase (always with an id column, never with a text ...) ?
