Dan, please can you say what do you think about the new Quest 3? I've read that there are some tracking issues because Q3's controller hasn't a diode ring as Q2 controller so the tracking is worse. I want to buy Quest specially for TT, I know that the graphics of Q3 is much better and it's better balanced on head but on the other hand we all know that good detailed tracking is very important in such fast sport. Also Q2 is almost 2 times cheaper so I'm not sure what to buy.

@@SeanONeillPong you do realize the orientation of the controller in the adapter is irrelevant right? The controllers can be tracked in any orientation. All that matters is that you have the game configured for your specific adapter. Some adapters physically feel better than others but that’s all preference.

I want to see pros play against a top ranked player or high ELO in TT VR. Of the game is realistic enough then they would beat the VR player with some adjustment (considering they are much better at the real game) but it seems the game is a lot slower than real life.
@sunblockquestionmark11 ай бұрын
I find it is faster than I had initially assumed. I think it is because of the noise. You hit it soft in 11vr and get a quiet 'pock' sound. Hit it hard, exact same sound. So you get no auditory ques for speed, but actually the ball moves fast while playing.

Any reason you are not using those table tennis racket style adaptors ? I like Eleven but I do have to many tracking issues, can't even do most of my serves as the Quest 2 doesn't see my hand anymore sometimes. Also as you can also see here in the Video you make lots of mistakes you would never ever do in real life. If you don't have the chance to play in real life this is awesome but to actually "replace" playing in real life there is still A LOT missing which isn't the fault of Eleven but the whole VR thing isn't advanced far enough yet.

It feels like Truls is playing significantly worse in VR than it real life and I'm quite puzzled as to why. I am playing a lot of Eleven Table tennis myself and too me, while there is a difference with real life, I adapted really quickly. The only tricky thing is the serve, but I would expect a pro like Truls to be able to do topspins and all the rest quite reliably. In the game however he pretty much tries to block everything and when he does topspin, it seems to be a quite a weak one (compared obviously to what he can do otherwise) If they play online, then maybe it's ping or something else? I'm really not sure, would be great to see Truls do close to his full power in VR!

You must be fking kidding me. How can a game be anything like real table tennis? All the feelings of the ball touching the blade are gone.
@vitaliidmytrenko891611 ай бұрын
Not true, the game vibrates when you touch the blade and you can feel the contact. It might seem insignificant but it helps a lot with "feeling" the ball
@kenji278711 ай бұрын
I have never played this but I’ve play games and I know controller vibration. Are you saying controller vibrate is “feeling” the ball now? Just curious. Do you clowns even play table tennis? Does it have different vibration when you smack? Drive? Or the stickiness of it resisting against the rubber when you spin? I mean I’ve never boxed once in my life and I could tell thrill of the fight is nothing like the real sport…
@jibizz7611 ай бұрын
@@kenji2787 Absolutely, you should try this one with an adapter. No of course the vibrations are not the same as real impacts (because physics), but real TT motions are required to get to the top of the world rankings (that's why almost every Eleven top player are also very good TT player). Give it an objective try.
@vitaliidmytrenko891611 ай бұрын
@@kenji2787 please don't be rude, undermines your point a lot As to the vibrations, they do add a lot of feedback which allows you to feel how well you processed the ball. You need to try the game before saying that it doesn't help and is stupid. And regardless, my point was that it's very possible in this game to do good topspins even for an amateur like me. So it's strange when such a good player as Truls is not able to do it consistently and just block. So maybe someone would know the answer, but you would need to at least play this game to be able to answer...
