Tabletop Canopy Structure DIY / Candy Bar DIY

Here is an easy way to make a candy bar structure you could use for many occasions. Use screws instead of nails to be able to store it away (don't use wood glue). I hope you enjoy and thank you for watching.♥

5 - Wood strips (Home Depot)
Hand Saw
Miter Box
1 1/4 inch nails
hammer
wood glue
sand paper or electric sander
safety goggles
dust mask
pencil
ruler
level
clamps
tape measure

OMG I did it! Despite my pregnancy fatigue hitting me half through the project... :D Thank you for sharing! This will be a nice decor for our baby shower by the end of this year. I did use screws, like you suggested... It did take a little longer because with every connection I needed to find where to drill on the inside pieces where the bars connect because I couldn't go through the two layers at once while holding everything in place myself... But I got it done, so I'm happy! Thank you again!

I love the simplistic design. However, you could have made it so much easier by using either a table saw or jig saw. Both are relatively inexpensive. And please please please to all who are watching please drill a pilot hole before attempting to screw anything! I knew better but I was in a hurry hanging a shelf 2 weeks ago. I'm now nursing a bruised and battered thumb and am losing my thumbnail. But that being said....I have been looking for a simple display for my jams and jellies I will definitely be making this. Thank you for this tutorial💚

Does the mitering tool actually come with its own saw? I'm glad you showed how to use it. I've heard of these in other videos, but most either don't have one or they don't show how to use it.

I used 1 1/4 nails from Home Depo, but you can get nails pretty much anywhere. You can also use screws if you prefer. 🥰💕

Yes. The thickness does give more stability but you can achieve the same results. You can also make it as high or low as you want. (Could be a small cabana). Thank you soo much for watching. 😊

Hi. I don’t know the exact size of the table but it should be smaller than 42” in length and 22” in depth. They sell these tables at home improvement stores. You can also custom make the structure to fit any existing table you have. Sorry it took soo long to answer. 😊❤️

Hi Becky Naomi. Here are the dimensions 42” length 50” height. 22” depth (these are approximations). You’ll need to buy 5 (0.656in x 1.468in x 96in strip) wood strips from Home Depot. Out of the 5 wood strips, you’ll want to cut (4) 36in, (2) 21 1/2in, (3) 42in & (4) 18in. I show you a diagram in the video on where to cut the strips of wood. Hope this helps you.
