It’s absolutely gorgeous! Thank you for teaching and showing people to not be afraid of the products! People are soo scared to even use some of their supplies for fear of messing up, but really it’s all just different techniques with different outcomes. The more we use our supplies the more we’re going to learn how they work and how we can manipulate and bend them to our liking! 💗

Such a beautiful, easy and effective technique! Can you do the same process using black wax in lieu of clear?
@JonathonMarcMendesPaintedLove2 жыл бұрын
I haven’t tried it with black wax but I think it could be really good with darker colours underneath and maybe bright colours over the top could be a little bit industrial

This is THE TEQUNIQUE I've been waiting to learn!!! Thanks to you and to Ms Sloan. I'm sooooo looking forward to give this a go. Oh, and I do have a question, how on Earth did you teach that adorable kitten to just sit there during your intro?????? It must be magic.
What a beautiful finish! Thank you for your considerable gift with paint! I'm curious how it wears. Do you have to be extra careful with what you put on it? For instance, will coffee cup rings easily mar the surface?

I think it’s pretty resilient this is my workshop table and I throw allsorts on top of it once the wax has hardened so good curing time it would be pretty good

Learning something new 😊 Question: Would the same look be achieved with a liming wax?? ❤
@JonathonMarcMendesPaintedLove2 жыл бұрын
Great question I suppose if it was over the right material a dark award you would end up with something that looks very similar 😊
@sandymoran5077 Жыл бұрын
I often wonder how often you repaint your cabinets in your workshop 😅lol
@monamartinez11102 жыл бұрын
Hi Jonathan 👋🏼 I’m sorry if I missed it but did you seal the final (wet) white wash with clear wax or was there no need for more wax? I guess I’m asking, how durable is the final washing without wax? Afraid clear wax darkens the wash and takes away from the perfectly beachy weathered look.
@suelock44252 жыл бұрын
Hi Jonathon, that looks amazing. Do you think this technique would work on laminate? 🤞
@JonathonMarcMendesPaintedLove2 жыл бұрын
I don’t see why not I will just give it a good base coat and leave it for a couple of days before moving on to the creative part and then if you do get a few anomalies repeat the process a couple of days later the buildup of paint would be quite interesting

I notice you have a cat. I have 2. How do you keep him/her off the piece you're working on? 😱😼
@JonathonMarcMendesPaintedLove2 жыл бұрын
That’s a great question and I think the answer is there is nothing that keeps them away from freshly painted furniture and if you’ve got a white cat like us they can get awfully multicoloured pretty quick 🥴😊😊
@elenalatici95682 жыл бұрын
@@JonathonMarcMendesPaintedLove My cats are orange and white, but mostly white. I can close the door to my "studio" aka my second bedroom, but god help me if I have to use something you're not supposed to breathe. Although, I'm 76 and have never worn a mask ever for DIY, including paint stripper, muriatic acid, and knocking down horsehair plaster walls. I don't think asbestos was invented when horsehair was used. I hope. I'm not dead yet. The mask thing is relatively new. ❤️😘 Love the wet wax finish. Will probably use it for my kitchen table (not built yet), but will let the wax cure so the finish cracks. Can't wait to see your next project. The big one.
