Dave does make some great models. I made a lot of them when I was playing Warhammer. One of the guys liked them so much that he commissioned me to make some for use at his house.

You had a lot to cover and did a great job, so thank you. However, I feel Babylon gets REALLY under sold everywhere I see it. I did a lot of research before I spent $60 getting all 4 colors. I have zero regrets and was still shocked at the amount of variation. I had hours of fun just customizing the buildings I was going to make, and then once they were 3 dimensions, they made everything aside from my meticulously hand-crafted terrain look cheap and flaccid. I cannot recommend them enough. You can eliminate 90% or your board space for $15 or less, plus the cost of printing and time investment.

Despite now having two 3D Resin Printers, papercraft shall still be used for all larger terrain pieces and scatter when applicable!! I feel that my resin stock would be better used for minis (with an occasional terrain piece) since making anything close to the amazing Babylon sets would a) cost a lot more b) take ages to print and paint c) just think how many miniatures I could print instead!!!! hahaha 😁

This person has been on this for a long, long time, their catalog is rather big! :D Most of his work is medieval/fantasy oriented though, that might or might not be an issue for people. His sci-fi designs are nice though :) Quick question: I think i missed it, at what % did you print the files to get the 6mm sized buildings?

Yeah I've been buying and building DG stuff for years. IIRC the 6mm (1/300) scale buildings were at 30%. On the pdf instructions DG recommends 20% but I found that was too small when put against GHQ miniatures. However, my WWG buildings had to be at 35%. So I would testing first but try looking at 30-40%.

I bought the bundle and a whole bunch of other sci-fi stuff from him. I'm going to try to figure out if I can some how make them foldable. Is he still active? I'd love to see some modern day stuff. It seems he only has fantasy and sci-fi.

Hi Ulas, many thanks for the comment. Yes, Dave is still active, and can be found regularly on the Dave Graffam Models Collectors FB page. I will admit there is not a lot of modern designs available, but there are some WW2 ruins and some of the 'Fantasy' building could be used for villages/town houses etc. You can also take a look at my Ebbles/Genet videos for alternative (and free) selections of Modern and Sci-Fi terrain.

Not sure if I'm too late being a year away, but every building flat packs if you keep the floors and ceiling separate (glued on to foam board). The only thing that doesn't fold flat are the roofs/ceilings, but you could pretty easily make tabs that could be attached to the ceilings, fill the roof walls with chipboard or even another piece of cardstock, the cut out the glue area to allow the tabs to slide in. I'm actually about to do something similar so I can keep a whole board in a binder and carry it with me.

What thickness of card do you use ?

Hi and hope you are safe and well!!! I generally use 230 GSM card for the majority of the models. For smaller, more fiddly parts and also for smaller models such as the 6mm versions, I use 160 GSM card.

Hi, for 28/32mm scale buildings I normally print the majority on 230gsm cardstock, with smaller parts using 160gsm cardstock. With the 6mm scale buildings, I used 160gsm for the larger areas, and 80gsm paper for the smaller parts!! 😁 Hope that helps. Many thanks for watching

good review, but video is a bit long. your other paper craft vids are closer to the 20 minute range. Much easier to sit through.

Many thanks for the feedback, and I agree it should have been shorter, but DG has so many items to love and cover hahaha. Maybe I should have split into 2 videos as per the Ebbles/Genet ones. Will keep in mind for future vids. Many thanks again
