If you buy it within, you get refunded but your pass will now be dependent on your crew subscription. If you buy it after fourteen days, you will NOT get a refund but your Pass will stay after the crew expires.

I’ve been saying this, ever since the departure of Donald Mustard, Fortnite has been nothing but greedy. It’s like they seem what NBA2k is getting away with and both have the same issue, the community buys everything they’re selling! Lego sets, Cars, music instruments, and now sneakers?! That’s not even counting bringing back Skins no one ever thought would ever come back. It don’t matter though because people will still buy these things. Next they’ll be selling hats or outfits to put on your skins. I’ve been playing since Chapter 1, I have just short of 1000 skins, I’ve never regretted buying any of those until now!

This is why I wait until the last couple days to buy the battle pass or crew pass. I make sure I am high enough level to get all the pass rewards I want before buying. On the crew pass I rarely buy it but when I do I try to time it to get 2 crew skins and then cancle it before my billing due date for the second month. So far I have purchased 3 crew passes and have 6 crew skins. I try to work the system instead of getting played myself!

Basically the only time you should buy crew is if your at the very end of most your pass progress tracks, and that you time it to the end date of atleast one side pass so that you can get a second side pass free, as because of the current system you literally can't complete 2 main BPs with just one crew unless you spend the 1000 "extra" v-bucks, as the secret skin is always over a month late.

Ill be honest i already knew about most of that info but the part about keeping your battle pass and not getting 1000 vbucks back vs losing the pass but getting the vbucks back wasnt super clear to me. Lesson learned, use 1000 vbucks on the pass going forward (if i can) and dont buy the crew pack within 14 days of buying the pass (if im not already subscribed to crew) lol. That way I'll at least be able to keep access to whatever battle pass i used the vbucks on (until it ends, that is).

Unless you want the Lego and Festival passes, don't even bother with Crew. It's 11.99 compared to just 8.99 for the BP by itself. If you do want the other passes, then level up like normal until everything is earned, then buy Crew to unlock them all at once, that way you're not at risk of running out of time to unlock everything thus losing access to the rewards. Epic has been nerfing XP month after month over the last year which makes it pretty tough to unlock everything in 1 month unless you never leave your house. Even better strategy is to wait until the current Crew skin is about to change to the next Crew skin and then buy the Crew pass, that way you get 2 skins for the price of 1 (plus the rewards from the other passes if you've leveled up enough). Buying the Crew at the beginning of a season is one of the silliest things someone can do right now, unless they enjoy wasting money.

Something that I found interesting is that they made the announcement of the changes prior before Chapter 6 began. Which I fully expected to lose my Chapter 6 Battle Pass, since my crew pass was set to expire 5 days after Chapter 6 launched. I just realised why people are getting so confused it's because battle passes cost 1,000 vbucks when they used to cost 950 vbucks. This is very confusing when using the crew pack now because the crew pack is suposed to give you 1,000 vbucks and 4 passes. But people are mixing up the crew pack 1,000 vbucks and the refunded battle pass 1,000 vbucks when they are two distinclty different things. so if you purchase the crew pack and DO get refunded you recieve a total of 2,000 vbucks and now require the forinte crew pack, if you DO NOT get refunded you just get the original 1,000 vbucks as well as gaining the ability to own the premium reward track even if you decide to cancel your fornite crew subscription. TO CLEAR THINGS UP: There are two types of distinct battle pass owners, type A and type B TYPE A = you bought the battle pass using Vbuck's = includes the ability to always have access to the premium rewards track no matter the circumstance. TYPE B = you own the battle pass via Forinte crew subscription = Only has access to the battle pass while fornite crew membership is active.

I will say I paid 1000 vbucks for my sons Battle Pass at start of Chapter 6. week later paid 1000 Vbucks for OG Pass. i would say 3-4 days later I decided it be cheaper in future to just get him Crew Pass. Bought Crew Pass and only got 1000 Vbucks back for 1 Battle Pass instead of 2000 for both Regular and OG Pass. so now my sons Batlle Passes are attached to Crew Pass but we were screwed out of 1000 Vbucks.

For me, I have the crew and I understood it the way the crew is now I would say is actually beneficial for both sides. For me, I actually think the crew is actually the best it’s ever been having all the battle passes for how low it is in price. Now that’s not saying that I think things could be added or changed a little bit more. They’re always trying to figure out a way to make the crew even better than it is. For me, I think it’s the people that just click a button and not care about what the terms and service is and complain that they lost access to something without reading what it is actually doing

@ it’s not scummy. They literally made it so where the Crew gives you four passes plus a skin plus rocket league premium. The Crew is far more worth it, but they couldn’t just let it stay like it usually did, otherwise, people would keep paying every other month and Epic would end up losing out on money. I think one big part of this that no one is talking about is what it really means when they say, “one time v buck refund”. I’m willing to bet that anyone that didn’t get the 1000 v bucks had at some point in the past gotten the 950 v bucks when they had already had the pass and purchased the crew. (The way it was before the most recent change) That counts as the, “one time refund” people probably don’t realize this.

as long as you finish the base battle pass, you'll be able to access the bonus rewards and possibly Godzilla. I am speaking from experience as my crew ended while I was on bonus rewards and am still able to claim the rewards.

What I did to avoid these issues was simply complete the battlepass and make sure I get Fortnite Crew within 1 month of the Godzilla release, I even gave myself a good 7 days to have enough time to complete the quests. Then I cancel. Next time I buy Crew will be next Season. People just need to control their FOMO and wait until they finish the pass. Alternatively you can do what Tabor recommended which is buy the pass then buy crew to get the 1000 vbucks in return

I completely disagree I believe a lot more worth it now because now I don't have to pay $40 for all of the battle passes against each one of these battle passes is literally 10 bucks each Festival Lego OG pass Battle pass On top of all of them you also get 1,000 v-bucks and a skin Any premium rewards you earn during your subscription time you keep So if you work hard at it you can complete all of the battle passes in one month if you work hard enough Or you just keep on the subscription honestly I believe it's a whole lot more worth it now Here's just some quick math Four passes 40 bucks 1,000 v-bucks equivalent to about $9 usa a skin that's equivalent to about 1500 v-bucks which in US dollar terms would be around $18 40+9+18=67 $ Of course this is if you complete all of them which most of us won't but in general you're still saving more money this way
