im also not great at playing guitar, but what helps is slowing the video speed down all the way and learning from there. as you memorize and practice from slow, you can work your way up to a faster tempo once you feel more comfortable

on a tele you play on bridge pickup, put any similar sounding amp and alot of compression. Stereorize it, done

You need to play as cleanly and accurately as possible! Gearwise, I'm using a Les Paul in the middle position through a compressor pedal and an overdrive pedal, then through a JCM800 (Amplitube 5)!
