@susieast450 I agree with you. No nails are worth 300 unless the actual items used are expensive. However if people want to spend that much on nails they are more than welcome to. People will spend over $100 on a plain black or white shirt.

I've read a lot of the comments here and am amazed by so much haterism. One compared the popularly mentioned cost of $300 to $400 to nursing pay. This is comparing apples to oranges. I am an oil paint artist and my work speaks for itself. Do I charge accordingly? You bet I do. So, I'm here to tell you that this chick IS an ARTIST worthy of her asking price!! No, it's not my medium but I recognize the sheer talent of the gifted when I see it. You go girl!!!

The lines in crystals are actually called veins. I love to see gemstone and crystal nails as a collector. Look at some agate and try to create something from that. You can find really rich earthy colors and they can have lots of depth.
@ninie6156
@ninie6156 3 жыл бұрын
It's been years since I left out the gemcutting game... while I agree with the term veins for marble and some other stone, if I remember correctly for regular crystals (like saphire, tourmaline, topaze, quartz, etc...), these were called fracture lines... In emerald we call it garden, cause they tend to have a lot of them, and when cutting them, one has to be very careful, cause if it breaks, it breaks on these specific lines, which is why it is very common when dealing with emerald to fill them first with resin. While veins are like a thread and/or have a different composition than the stone surrounding it, fracture lines are that, two surfaces of the same composition more or less well naturally bonded together. Now, as I said, it's been a very long time I left this game... so... my memory may very well be flawed. So.... are you sure they're called veins ?
@thenewgolddigger1015
@thenewgolddigger1015 3 жыл бұрын
Actually they are called fissures they are naturally occurring in gemstone, veins are crystal Mineral deposits in gemstone rocks, fissures Naturally occur because of movement and resetting of the rock.

@@TabythaScottNails I would love to see you also do either an amethyst or turquoise stone set. I have always thought that turquoise is one of those underappreciated stones LOL.

Yes! I'm in love 🌹 I'm going to go practice this technique tonight. Have you thought about doing amethyst. or even the watermelon amethyst. I think that's what it's called. I call those line veins to😁😄

This turned out SO beautiful in the end. At first I was like “I don’t know if this is going to work” when I saw the first couple of coats. But building it up was like watching magic. Like watching quartz marble being produced before my eyes. Great job. Oh, I also want to say I LOVE your can do attitude about doing any project. Too many people get into it and get discouraged because it doesn’t look right from the get go so they just give up. Trial and error with failure is how most of the greatest discoveries we have today became discovered. Some were even byproducts of a totally different project. Keep that attitude. Get it done attitude makes life so much more fun in the longrun.

You are very artistic & I truly appreciate your detailed explanations on how you achieved your wonderful masterpiece that I find lacking in other nail technicians. Tbh, they are selfish & are not generous to share their skills.
