Atk almost left all their identity , their logo , jersey and even considered as atkmb as new team and none of the stats of atk will be added to atkmb stats. MB is a more than a 100 year old club, its fan base will be million times higher than that of ATK, ATK fan base does not matter in the context of MB supporter base. Also, most ATK fans are either EB or MB supporters who were supporting the club in ISL before MB and EB entered the ISL arena. There is NO TRUE BLUE ATK FAN in Kolkata. Just to add, erstwhile ATK was financially very strong and they did not buy the MB club for its infrastructure or facilities, it bought the club for its fan base and its legacy. ATK despite winning so many ISL titles could not garner support in Kolkata. I remember ATK staff standing outside MB/EB i league matches pleading the supporters of both these clubs to support ATK in ISL. So if the most valued element in the deal does not want this merger, then Goenka has to think about this business decision. The brand equity of this joined entity is now declining as the most important element in deciding brand value wants the GOENKA's out. Please do your research thoroughly.

We Mohunbagan fans' were satisfied (atleast a majority amount of audience), until the team wore their "3rd kit" wich was "Inspired" from the theme "BLACK LIVES MATTER" (again.. here's a twist) that was "AS-IT-IS" copy-paste version of ATK fc's away Jersey design, just with new ATKmb crest on it. According to the club authority, if the entity was "dead" or "dissolved" , then why the hell their jersey design will be carry forward by the "legacy" club of this continent?? Let Mohun Bagan and ATK co-exist as individual entities. Same way gokulam Kerala and Chennai City FC should come to ISL. The number of teams should be at least 15 and more at least 1 more foreign player on the pitch should be allowed. Then the quality of football will increase without the Indians having to miss out on playing in the league. Also a longer season will mean more players will be interested in joining ISL.

I think the problem is not with the name but the stakeholders.....when they said ATKMB is for carrying forward the legacy of only ATK and not Mohun Bagan that's when the problem arose...I am a Atk Fan but....Atk is not a club its a franchise while Mohun Bagan is a 130 years old legacy.......Sanjeev Goenka and the crew should've treated them with respect and carry forward the leagacies of both the teams....Demerging is not the solution......The stake holders will have to do something big to turn this one around

You should have mentioned why ATK took stakes in MB? Actually MB management ran out of money to run the club...they had issues paying salaries to their players and coaches before. They were looking for investors for the club which they failed miserably and repeatedly. Hence, they had no other options other than selling off 80% stakes to Goenka. And Goenka too readily accepted this offer thinking of getting the huge MB support base which they were missing in ATK alone. After this entire episode, suddenly the fans realised they have been fooled by the MB management who misguided the fans as ATK are the "investors" which was a blatant lie! Now they are all in a soup!!! The only way for the legendary club to gain back their respect is through breaking off this merger for which they need to pay a heavy fine to Goenka! Which they obviously cannot. Thus, this soap opera will continue unless Goenka have some mercy on the MB fans....
