Gee, I guess Matt Stefan & Jonny Schultz should have patented the Core Tackle Hover Rig. Do-It Molds just take their design and run with it and they get the award at ICAST? ICAST should be ashamed of this type of theft. How does this promote a small bait designer to come up with ideas when bigger corporations steal designs? I thought China was bad at this but we have it here in the USA too. I'll keep buying baits from Core Tackle and I hope others do as well. Supporting small businesses is vital for promoting new ideas.

I cant even tell you how much it sucks that i eagerly got into fishing this year as a 28 year old and literally EVERYTHING new in the industry is being focused on this FFS bs. Dawg i cant even afford my rent sometimes how tf am i gonna afford a vessel AND thousands of electronics AND all the high priced special tackle??? The greed is insanely over powering. Oh and guess what, i throw techniques they say you should ONLY throw on a spinning reel, on a baitcaster bc thats all i have. 😮😮😮 did i sin?

Don’t even pay attention to the FFS stuff. If you’re fishing for fun it’s unnecessary. Assuming you’re new and learning, Tactical Bassin on KZbin is very informative, def have to sift through and pick what you can apply to being stuck on the bank. That’s with most anyone though. Look through their channel they do have some bank fishing specific episodes. Anyway be patient, keep learning, and try not to sink too much money into a technique until you’ve figured out it’s one that works for you and you actually enjoy using that technique.

I cant help but feel like bass fishing is getting so popular and lakes are getting so hammered that you have to buy new technologies and baits in order to catch them. In addition, it’s hard to find a spot to fish due to overcrowding. Also, I am not liking private equity rolling up fishing companies in an effort to create synergies and make money in the fishing industry. It does not align with the foundational angler, and is going to ruin our sport. I have fished my entire life, over 45 year, spent significantly on bass boats and new gear. I am so discouraged that I am now giving it up.

Why get caught up only bass fishing??? There's plenty of species and opportunities out there. You wanna catch bigger fish?? You wanna fish more advanced techniques? You wanna catch harder fighting fish? You wanna catch better eating fish??? So many options out there. Catfish, walleye, pike, muskie, trout, steelhead, salmon, stripers and hybrids, panfish, etc

Last year I thought the ireel was the most innovative, or hell even the Bates reels. Just thought there were better options than a spinning reel that brought things down from their higher end ones
