Love my chain saw cut a 30 foot tree down and only used 15% of the 5amh battery amazing

A larger saw would have been a better choice for these stumps haha. Another thing instead of focusing on more batteries is to get rid of the low kickback chain and invest in Ryobi's own branded titanium chain, turns these saws into absolute beasts effectively doubling or more the amount of cuts per battery.

That's a light duty saw. You're asking it to do much too much. It is a very good and reliable tool for its intended use. I can't recommend a heavy backpack while bending over to buck or fall a tree. You need to be nimble in those situations.

If you have 3 batteries, it seems better to have one battery in the tool and two in chargers topping up and just swap out.

Is it possible to change the oiler? I have the 18v and it works very well.

The chainsaw is a tank as it is..........I can't imagine a backpack to go with it.
@paulexplainsit2 жыл бұрын
This works with just one battery inserted in the chainsaw, is that correct? It seems easier just to changeover the batteries as they deplete, and not have to carry the whole set all the time?

Hi, yes just one battery in the chainsaw would work. I need more time with it but I'm thinking the same thing. I was surprised at how long all three batteries lasted together. Once they reached one bar, I thought the saw would stop but the saw kept going. So maybe overall performance is improved versus switching batteries.

In tools like a chainsaw the batteries will get very hot very quick thus you’ll be getting a thermal overload. Drawing power from 3 batteries at a time creates less heat improving battery life in both the long term and also for the current charge of the battery.

@@jacobauld565 wow, good point. I was really starting to wonder why on earth someone would go through the expense of this

Would you rather have purchased the 18" chainsaw? And I want to use my 12ah battery on this to see how it performs, will it work?
@b.i.g.withbr5302 жыл бұрын
I was impressed with it's performance but I do think the 18 would of been better. Especially would larger stumps. Thanks for watching!

@@b.i.g.withbr530 The 18"-er includes a pretty nice case, and it's considered an "HP" tool, supposedly more powerful. Would've easily paid for itself in greater value.

@@madpoguesupposedly the 18 and 16 have the same power head so I don’t think there would be much of a diffrence

Weird packaging for the chainsaw with the blade sticking out like that. Not sure the carrier would be especially careful here, so it seems to risk being bent on arrival

Great point, I was expecting a full case but it seems that comes with the 18inch and not the 16inch. Thanks for watching!

I got the leaf blower with battery pack as a kit kzbin.info/www/bejne/qKabn4ali712gaM. It was a cheap way of getting two 6Ah batteries. I found the pack a bit cumbersome due to the umbilical and not the weight. The belt was a clip to keep the umbilical close to the body but in use the it gets trying. I now only use the backpack to recharge the batteries and just use a single battery to power the leaf blower. I think you would have been better off just using one battery at a time on the chainsaw. Probably safer that way without the pack and cable to get in the way. BTW it charges one battery at a time.

Thanks for sharing and watching! Think I need a little more time with it. Got a few more stumps to cutt so I'll try just single battery to compare.

@@b.i.g.withbr530 It was interesting to watch you take on such large stumps, at first I didn't think it would work. I have a corded Oregon which does a pretty good job, but can't wait until I can go cordless with a chainsaw and a vacuum cleaner.
