Matt gave Paul a call to see if he could help with a dry lake rescue. The dry lake turned out to not be so dry, but very muddy! They had to make sure they played their cards right so they didn't end up like the stuck tacoma!

Some people watching this might think, "they make such a big deal out of pulling out vehicles!". Well, I have been there a many times with trucks to tanks to dozers stuck in just about anything you can think of. Some jobs are easy, but, a lot , A Lot, of them sucked. These are the cats butt! If I am stuck in that area. I am calling these guys. Great job to the entire crew of Fab Rats and Matts' recovery. Be safe, stay focused.

We stopped by the edge of this dry lake while heading back to Ely Nevada when I was working out there, you could tell the lake is soft just by looking at the tracks of the previous people who got stuck not far from the edge. Good job to Paul and his crew teaming up with Matt and his crew making this recovery possible 👍👌..

Paul , you and Matt are very talented PEOPLE. I watch both your channels everyday . I have a 1986 Nissan 4x4 king cab Hardbody 5 speed. 2 mechanics ripped me off on repairs . It is running good now and I like the fact that it gets 21MPG and it's almost bomb proof . I got to get up to Utah to see you all sometime .

Seven-hour round trip for nine minutes of work on video !! That's dedication to the cause. Ever think of taking large pieces of old carpeting to pull/move vehicles on soft/wet sand ?? Would spread the load and provide a firm surface for movement...lower your chances of sinking in again. Have two pieces and switch them from rear to front or vice versa for slow progress. Would need pieces large enough to span wheelbase and track at least.

One thing I have seen might work here. Take a number que short 2x4s and strap them to the tires. They work as browser tracks and distribute the wheel weight widet.

My Nissan king cab Hardbody 4x4 just has a 4 cyl. Engine so it's not that fast. I could not keep up on a trail run with a group. Just want to use it for some basic off road travel

Needs a winch mount on the front, one on the back and one on top :o) *I got mine to self reeve. Rear winch was 3ft from the back and always reeved nicely. For the last couple of years I had the front winch in the back pointing forward and going down a tube. That gave it the ‘pull in any direction’ without worrying about bunching while keeping the front super short.

Getting stuck in mud near shoreline is the worst. It will need crane or big trucks to pull out the stuck vehicle. I know someone who has been through it in mud.

What size tires ya runnin? 35's, no, 36, ..37, ...38.... That cake mud, likes to cake. Damn. GG's all, job well done again. Edit- ive played around in some mud like that, in Delta Ut, (my old stomping grounds) and some of it smelled like a damn sewer....
