When you attack the knights you want to do a jump attack where the blade is landing as you are about to hit the ground, so you kind of strafe the blade through both the upper and lower part of the knight and it doesn't matter where his shield currently is. Once you get the hang of it you can do it to every. single. knight.

Yeah, I did read that. Once again, I decided to go into the game blindly until around the last two temples. I tried that method, but was never successful at pulling it off. I did however figure out a few other tricks.

I don't know why people give this game so much crap. It's like ET on Atari 2600 or Deadly Towers. Sure they sucked, but I'd swear that most of the hate comes from people bashing on it to be part of the hip crowd. You have to remember that when this game came out, it was Zelda TWO. Lol. Thanks. While there is a lot of profanity in this episode, it isn't there just to be there. It was for comic effect. I'm more about coming up with an interesting concept or joke. Hence, the jab about fart jokes which seems to the premise of every animation now days.

Like many Zelda games, Zelda II is hard if you don't know what you're doing but a blast if you do. It's not in any way a bad game and remains one of the more popular titles of the 8 bit era.
