Rolman80 80 :D hahaha I know what you mean, but your wrong. I have many friends from Spain and almost all of them have blue, green, or hazel eyes. They are either light brown or white skin. Even my friends from Algeria and Egypt, even other parts of the Middle East are very light skin.I have been through out México and actually there are around 25 million white mexicans, with 80 or more percent of European ancestry. In the North and West, Whites and Mestizos actually outnumber Indigenous or Indo-Mestizos. While in the Southern and Central part of the country is the other way around.

Literally, or only know the low socioeconomic culture of mexico and find it hard to believe that there's educated Mexicans who don't throw random object or randomly scream at their kids. I wish they visited Mexico more often, it would teach them the differences and diversity in every group. The thing is, most Mexicans that come to the US are low socioeconomic Mexicans who happen to be mainly native american due to the correlation of them living in rural areas with low resources and low education in comparison to the white or mixed Mexicans who live in better fairing states or cities. Hence why the white or mixed Mexicans don't have the necessity to come to the US and instead stay in Mexico.

@eanhudson20567 жыл бұрын
I'm going to tell you the complex truth about race in Mexico and people are going to get upset, but this is in general terms the truth. 1. Northern Mexico, there are some very white even readhead type Mexicans and even the common folks are pretty light skin, so there goes out the stereotype that all white Mexicans are rich, this is a very common stereotype based on southern/central Mexico. There is also a good number of dark Mexicans in north Mexico, so it's also a lie that everybody is white there, but they're more like 30%. Not majority. Similar can be said about parts of Western Mexico. 2. Central Mexico tends to be more mixed, but this is where race and economic status is more visible, usually the darker, the poorer, and the lighter the richer, which means, poor are indigenous, middle class is light skinned mestizo or mestizo, and upper class is white, some looking even german or american type. The ones that are white here even though are less than in the north, usually are whiter than the ones in Northern Mexico due to the fact that they tend to mix less due to class division. 3. Southern Southeast Mexico is majority indigenous although you will also see the rich are white (minority) and some middle class are lighter, but you will also see large numbers of middle class who are dark, and even upper class... the dark ones are majority in these areas. With this said, there is a lot of indigenous people that live pretty urban lives and well educated. Mexicans that migrate to the US tend to come from rural areas especially from very small villages of 300-400 people. A lot of them are brown, and the ones that are not have a culture that is way different than mainstream Mexican (of bigger towns and cities). Mostly their parents only have basic elementary school education or didn't finish it. So their parents also help perpetuate the misconceptions about Mexico as they're not educated enough to distinguish rural life from Mexico itself. I know this will upset many people, but hey it is what it is, and not their fault but gov't. With this said, Mexican immigrants in the US tend to make the assumption that being Mexican is being brown and somehow think that white Mexicans do not exist. Many even do not think urban Mexicans exist or they don't consider them "real" Mexicans even though they're the majority of population (urban people). Hollywood takes on this and always looks for the brownest actor to portray a Mexican and they will happy and say comments like - TV in Mexico only portrays white even though population is brown - etc. Or Mexican TV acts like Mexicans know about this and that when we only know about tortillas, burros, banda, we don't like pop music or rock, etc... Completely wrong, there is white Mexicans and there is a huge amount of light skinned mestizos.. the problem is that migrants jump from 300 people town (that's the only Mexico they know) and directly to the US, then they're reinforced by hollywood and somehow think modernity, cities, urban life, and light skinned Mexicans don't exist and are just a fantasy of TV. They exist and from the country half up and west are a majority (the light skinned). Urban Mexicans are also a majority regardless of color and they don't necessarily like banda or folk music, most likely don't.... and being like that doesn't mean they aren't "real Mexicans" as many in US somehow feel pride in. I guess the better term would be they aren't real rancheros and Mexican TV doesn't represent rancheros very much... but that doesn't mean rancherias, the little villages are the whole of Mexico. Mexican migrant culture in the US is mostly based on that, rural life. And people wrongly say stuff like in Mexico we don't have this, or in Mexico this doesn't exist. They're actually not comparing Mexico to the US, but their village to the huge city they live now in the US. If they had lived in a Mexican city, they would have known much of what they think only exists in America, also exists in Mexico. Sorry for offending people's pride, but that's the way it is.

Ikker Alman You have no idea how satisfying it was for me to hear (read) someone finally say that. You can't "look" Mexican when you can be any race and be Mexican at the same time.
@erikaiam88647 жыл бұрын
I can definitely relate. All my life people looked at me and automatically thought I was white. I remember people talking in Spanish thinking I couldn't understand and then I'd start speaking Spanish and they'd be all surprised. Haha.
