“No problem” ?? But needed rescuers on the job. Ok. I wouldn’t say getting lost in the trail and it being reported on local news was ‘no problem’. She got lucky, blessed thank God.

I know how hard it is to earn medals in the USAF first hand, but that young airman should have been awarded an Airman’s Medal for “the rescue, first aid and recovery of.” His commander needs to reexamine their copy of the ATO, then resubmit for a change of award. For those who don’t know, medals are a contributing factor toward promotion. A USAF achievement medal is worth 1 point toward promotion; an Airman’s Medal is worth 3. Achievement Medals are traditionally handed out upon completion of an assignment for Airmen E-4 and under, while E-5 to E-6 get Commendation Medals. E-7 to E-9 usually get MSMs upon end of assignment.

This woman is too old and fragile to be climbing a mountain and she is also putting rescuers in danger. Thank you young man for helping her, though.

Not good to home alone without the appropriate equipment for being located.

A heavily traveled trail; no problem going solo. She was 'located' immediately.
