Tacoma Police Marine Services Unit - Tacoma Report - July 28, 2024

Members of the Tacoma Police Marine Services Unit spotted a 34-foot pleasure craft engulfed in flames in Commencement Bay on the 4th of July. Officers successfully located and rescued two people and their cat found floating not far from the burning boat. The MSU works in partnership with the maritime community to creatively preserve and promote the highest level of boater safety, education, and harbor security.
