Your book story reminded me of a story in my life. There is a religious group that has an auction every year. So with my buying and not selling, i had a lot of items. Nice stuff. Some midcentury items and such. We probably donated 4-6 trucks worth of items. At the end of the auction there was a waste pile approx 2 feet squared and about 2 feet tall. So after they received our items. Sold our items. We were informed they did not need our rubbish at their auction. So we thought ok no more. I kid you not 2 years later they came specifically to us to donate to the auction....needless to say we said sorry don't have anything. True story.

Hey Taco - can you do a summary vid on how to sort metals before taking to a scrap yard? I've been going around town scrapping but don't know the differences between all metals. I think most yards pay if you separate the metals first. Thanks!

Dude can I suggest on your tables at the next flea market or sale use a cream sheet so it highlights your goods your trying to sell.Dark or rusted things didn't seem to catch the eye because they blended in with the table top. Cheers mate

I don't suggest treats for barking dogs unless it's a place where you would be going regularly. I have a Chihuahua and he is very vocal. sigh I want him to bark to let me know there is someone outside. I don't want him to not bark at someone because they throw him a treat. What if it is some crackpot trying to poison him? I am trying to teach him to stop barking once I tell him to stop. He has the barking down pat lol Any suggestions?

Maybe you should put your logo and name on the side of your truck? People might save stuff for you! A couple times I had big things that I needed someone to come in and take out ,washer dishwasher, ect... And didn't want some of the pickers to pick up because they were Rudd. But if I had someone to call that would have been great!!!

I had a library get mad at us for trying to donate too! They didn't have enough storage space for the books. So they have those donate books containers throughout PA like community aide drop boxes. Books, especially text books, are hard to get rid of.

Your diet, oh my. You need to eat more healthy meals, start now while you're young. You need to find yourself a nice friend to cook for (or with) you or to go out to eat with at places with healthier options. Living alone and cooking for yourself gets you into a quick and easy prepared food rut. You should always make time to treat yourself well. I know I'm not your momma so forgive me for momming you. You're a nice, hardworking young man, just want the best for you!

kittyluver NY - yes but diet is not always about burning calories. I weighed under 110lbs but had high blood pressure and high cholesterol. I was usually the youngest person in the cardiologist office waiting room. I'm better with my HBP meds and a healthier diet, although I do have some heart damage. I looked healthy, excercised, was slender but not healthy on the inside at all.

I live in Washington State where the garbage company does not pick up anything outside of the bins or even sticking up out of it. We either have to donate to Goodwill or Salvation Army, or drive to the nearest dump and unload the stuff ourselves. Maybe good thing you live where you do. “Dumpster diving” isn’t as easily accessible here.
