Awesome video Tactacam brother. This video just helped me out big time. I was having issues during these moments and you have saved me a lot of time. Thanks man

Also saw some information on slow motion on a video tips channel. It stated that 24 frames per second may be a minimum to edit down to. As an example, if you are are recording 60 frames, the most you should go down with slow mo for the smoothest video, would be .40 speed. At 120 frames you can slow down to .20 speed. .20 speed is pretty decent for filming arrow flight in slow mo as well as filming running deer. Thanks for sharing the Tactacam settings comparison.

Low light is a huge factor for hunting video quality. Can zoom be adjusted at each level of video quality? Which has more impact, the zoom, the frame rate, or the video quality .. for low light? I have the old 2.0. The 1080p is 30 frames no zoom. the 720p is 60 frames 3x zoom. 1080p (no zoom) better in low light, but not much, as these older Tactacams don't have the low light sensor. Video stabilization appears to be much better on GoPro per other videos, but GoPro doesn't have the zoom. You can (post edit) 4k down to say 720p, take advantage of the low light 4k provides, AND the image stabilization. GoPro also seems to have better "true color" per other videos. The shape and size of the Tactacam is definitely a plus. Microphone much improved on the 5.0.

I would say frame rate has more impact. When I duck hunt I keep mine zoomed nearly all the way in. 4k @30fps allows much better light than 60 or 120 fps. The biggest benefit of zooming out I see is the picture seems to be clearer. The standard 5x zoom on a 5.0 is great. Zooming on in to 8x is like digital zoom in your iPhone, it can blur some in the right circumstances.

@@TripleRwoods Yes. I wondered about that blur. Also, image shakes really bad at higher zoom.

Nice video! I just got a 5.0 I have question for you if you have time? I trying to get my image stabilization to stay on. I can turn it on at 4k 30 when i switch modes and go back to 4k 30 the image stabilization is off again. Any help would be appreciate
@TripleRwoods4 жыл бұрын
Steve Ski yea image stabilization is only for 4K 30. 4K 15 doesn’t have enough frames. Realistically with something like 120 or 60 frames per second you don’t need it. There are enough frames to make the video smooth. If you still feel it’s not smooth try zooming out just a hair until u feel it’s smooth. When bow shooting you gotta practice holding on target after the shot.

@@TripleRwoods Thank you very much for your time! One more question if I can. witch bow mount will give you the least shot vibration ? The one the bow or stabilizer? You have been very helpful!
@TripleRwoods4 жыл бұрын
Steve Ski in my experience the vibration of shake at shot release has more to do with ur bow and just practice holding on target after release. I’ve used the stabilizer for a ton and I think it looks great. I used a different mount for these cams just so they could be side by side and viewing the exact same shot. That would be a good comparison video tho 🤔 lol

Did you adjust the exposure (i believe that's the setting I'm thinking about, I don't have mine with me at the moment) at all as it got darker? If you set it to a 1.0 or 2.0 it will appear lighter. If its really bright out you can set it to -1.0 or -2.0 and it will darken the image.
@TripleRwoods4 жыл бұрын
I have played with adjusting the exposure. I plan to do a comparison of low light at different exposures. I’m not sure the exposure saves and stays at that 1.0 or 2.0 when you turn it on. I think it resets to 0. I may be wrong. But in this video I did not adjust the exposure.

@@TripleRwoods I shot with mine yesterday and I had it at a 2.0 from with it in my basement the night before and when I turned it on outside I had to turn it back down because it was way too bright. I believe it does save. Thanks for the comparison video. Look forward to the next!

Anthony Miller I’ll look into that. Thanks for the heads up!
