If you're not moving a lot than sure but usually soldiers do a lot of walking and a big heavy vest weights them down and they typically don't like it.

Black Red10 many Special forces opt to use a lightweight plate carrier with just a front and back plate or they opt use no armor at all and go with a chest rig or recon vest body armor is heavy and the more you put on the less mobile and more uncomfortable you’re gonna be

Nah, the dumb asses are fussy, they wear bear minimum like the high cut helmet and small plate carrier which offers almost no protection just for the sake of "weight" although most vids of them show them lazing around somewhere in a trench, half those morons are body builders and battle hardend but the big bulky men can't handle a proper vest

Legs can be protected with additional components which we produce. You just need to ask for it, because it is not a standard requirement by the End Users.

Isaiah Mendiola There’s nothing in that video I didn’t already know. There’s also nothing in that video that was disputed by Kirin. Bronze is heavier than steel by volume. During the Bronze Age armor was primitive by the standards of later ages when steel became the metal of choice armor with fuller coverage was developed. We’re essentially in the “bronze age” of bullet resistant armor. When material science develops the mass production of materials like Graphene that allows for lighter armor, then we will see advancements in armor coverage. It has happened before and it will happen again.

It’s funny how it has all the Vance throat and neck protectors, even a groin protector, but when you ship off they take all that away, and you can choose to use it later on, but they still don’t want you using it. Also by reading through the comments, just wanted to say, you should make this available to the civilian market, especially now, cause honestly, there are more widely used platforms than this which is overly expensive, at least most likely to be, and I am a very firm believer that the OTV vest is far better than this, and surprise surprise, they made thousands of them, AND THEY’RE CHEAP, Point Blank Body Armor sure knew what they were doing, most of it went to surplus and can be acquired right now, those of you who want a good vest and don’t want to spend thousands on a vest that you’ll only use once or twice in a life time, buy one of the OTV vests, they aren’t the easiest to move in, but for they’re price, and accessibility, you can’t complain, and even then, there are people out there who buy airsoft plate carriers and put actual plates in them and are better off than wasting thousands of dollars.

the ironic thing is to no military branch would use this thing neither would swat team obviously and 99 percent of police forces even if they needed more protection so the only market this thing would be used by is mabye civilians but oh wait they dont sell it to us i dont know how they havent gone bankrupt especially considering there poster child vest being this when bought doesnt even come with the groin or neck protector they have to be tacked on for a extra price and both of them are useless anyways since there made of Kevlar so they only thing that it might protect you from is a knife even if that oh and this thing isnt considering that most vital parts in the arm are lower not higher and that there are many major vital spots in the leg but no lets put a flimsy groin only protector that wont do dick against anything that isnt a lower caliber pistol

Well the groin and throat protectors are only meant to protect from shrapnel, even the OTV vests had them for that, but I can see where you’re coming from but technically the entire body is a vital point, and if you get shot in the arm or the leg you can apply a tourniquet, if you go full body then it gets harder to move and fight and if you don’t cover your torso then I mean you’re just asking to get killed quicker, you have got to protect the vitals like your head your heart and all the other internal organs

Another thing imma add on to my previous comment, why is everything held together with Velcro? I mean it works, but you should at least have a Velcro button combination so things would hold up better and longer

Thank you for your comment! That is why we produce various models, each is designed to fit different needs. In our product videos our models are shown in one basic design. However, depending on customer's specifications (usually military and law enforcement departments) their design gets customized and many details can be changed, including added buttons, zippers, buckles.

Unfortunately, finding full coverage flexible armor for small arms isn’t available on the civilian market We’re stuck with Vietnam or Iraq age types of armors, simple chest and hip Kevlar or shoulder pads with Kevlar and solid metal inserts You can get composite plates but they fail to double taps of exotic rounds

Thoes type of things were wore in Iraq and Afghanistan. Soldiers were so threatened by ieds instead of gunshots.if you are in a convoy That's most likely to be ambushed by IEDs, depending on unitsops,your commander may actually acquire you to wear something like this. That's what a lot of soldiers did. It's really not that heavy or hot, but it does restrict movement. Same goes for knight armors. you have to choose between safe or mobile. It's not that one is better than the other. And clearly now days soldiers are not going to war and not as exposed to ied, so they would prefer anything That's lighter....since they are just training in the field anyways
