Nicely done sir. FN FAL is a beast. Served many countries well.

FAL, battle rifle of the free world. I've got a man-crush on the FAL.

FAL at 6.5mm would be interesting... (I think this cal or 6.8mm) is what the FAL FN was engineered on.... even more managable and potentially lighter

hmm, still carried my (personal) FAL para-congo to Afghanistan when deployed and still carried my 120kg gear during long missions, never cried about it... but its true, especially on nowadays AOs where every single gram counts

personally I won't change fal for any other 5.56 rifles , fal all the way

I think he was referring to the Garand being used in WWII
@norge8812 жыл бұрын
What gives you the idea that he meant today's soldier is no longer "man enough?" Would you rather carry extra food and ammo or a rifle that's heavier than it needs to be? I'm very fond of the FAL rifle, but not to the point of being blind to reason.

"with plenty of terminal velocity" Love the show, but kinetic energy was the word you were looking for.

Ha. The FAL was put into service in 1954. :)

Hello sir, I really enjoyed your show and the channel. So my question is what would be a good sling for the FAL. I would assume a Vickers sling, but just wanted your input. My FAL is a just a no frills battle rifle what would you suggest. Thanks, Jonathon Thornton.

Contractor or military? What unit allowed you to bring your own personal weapon?
@USpatriot74177611 жыл бұрын
He was referring to the M1 not the FAL.

Reread what he wrote buddy. He says "despite the weight, it (the Garand) was still able to win the second world war."
@parapotato11 жыл бұрын
I think that is what he means by "modern" battle rifle, as I am sure you know after 2003 it is impossible to fire a weapon without quad rails, a scope and a tactical light,
@PlutoniusX11 жыл бұрын
Because its an advertisement for LWRC.

im with stuie. i own an fal and im not a huge guy. but i have wonderful inventions called muscles and a weinner rather than a vagina.
@speedobgcrew667511 жыл бұрын
so if it's too heavy for the modern battlefield, then why would he slap on a quad rail and 2 scopes?
@chiveschoncybillups11 жыл бұрын
That is not what he was saying if you read it carefully you will see that he meant despite the M1 garands weight it still won world war 2.

No I do not like the bolt charging handle on the LWRC!
@JohnMahon11 жыл бұрын
I think his gammar is incorrect, but what he might mean to say is that the m1 garand was heavier than the FAL, yet still a good weapon, and guessing he defines "man enough" to be how heavy a gun you could carry, he thinks that the M1 was just as good....
@parapotato11 жыл бұрын
What are you talking about Teddy Roosevelt used a FAL when he charged the Italians up Hamburger Hill in WWII, learn your history dude.

Seriously... if you have $4K+ to blow on a rifle, this is the way to go. Cost prohibitive for a military to outfit across the force. Notice they didn't have a single piece of kit on the rail, not even hand guards haha.
